Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Depth for a playoff run maybe?
I don't know WTF this front office is thinking. It's like they want to win just enough games to prevent us from a top 5 pick while not having a realistic shot at the playoffs. Why not get some young fresh legs some playing time. |

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Bruce just pull the same shit with Orlando Scrandrick...Its disheartening to see the same useless tactics in teambuilding employed over and over again.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Apparently the skins wanted him last yr but he chose Oakland.. I still believe they will address the FS position , DRC shouldn't be the answer

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Depth/camp body perhaps. Kinda like the Keenum situation, nothing to get excited or upset about. Meh signing, just like every other signing after the first few days of free agency.
Some of you need to chill the F out and perhaps take a break from this site, if you are reacting so upset about this.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
DRC played with Collins in NY right. May think the 2 have a working understanding.

2018:
He was named the Cardinals starting free safety, starting in all 16 games. He finished the season with a team-leading 120 tackles, four pass deflections, and a career-high three sacks. Ill take it.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Ha...well I rather have that band aid over DRC...and when I hear moving to Safety...ya know, we've seen this story.
I, like most would like to see a 3 year deal with a better option...Just seems perfect time to add 2 guys at the same time who can grow into a unit for the next several years. Were pulling ole Bruce tricks again...fans aren't dumb, we know Bruce, we know how he operates.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Although he is young, there has been a lot of good talk about Collins character and leadership. Hopefully some of that rubs on Nicholson.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Why are we acting like DRC has no value at all? He's a shell of his former great self but he still contributed last year in Oakland, mostly as a slot corner. Most importantly he offers roster flexibility - give him a look at FS and if Moreau can't go for whatever reason then he can slide into the slot.
He's probably looking at a $1M contract with incentives. I don't understand the hate, nobody on the team said they were planning on handing a starting job to him. I see it as a smart depth signing.

Re: Redskins Free Agency Thread
Bring him to camp and see what he can do. It will be easy to cut him if need be. It doesn't stop you from making other moves.
