Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Problem with drafting is we are not very good at it especially QB . Get Watson send them a combination of some of are defensive linemen and a 1rd pick. I also think mayfield is worth a look been hurt all year. Are first round pick may be enough.
What would you give up for Watson if you could get him to come here. Would be willing.to give up Sweat, Young, and a first round pick. |

Depending on Watson's legal resolution, what the Texans want for him, and how much it costs to extend him, I'd be down with getting him. But a lot of things would have to work out for it to happen. Don't see it being feasible.

I agree Watson would be very expensive. That why I think mayfield is way to go. He is similar to Henike can throw the ball along better and probably will not break the bank to get. He would be an upgrade by far not prefect but I think you can win with him.

Agree. Enough with this Bs. They know the QB position is the top need once again! Time to address it.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
If we're in the market for trading, and anyone worthwhile would actually come here, I'd say the only 2 choices are Watson and Wilson. I just don't see either coming here with the state of the franchise, at least not for stupid amounts of draft capital. Without a solid OL, running game and WR's I can't see them being easily tempted. And it's not like we can sell them on the D keeping us in games.
Beyond that if you are looking at the likes of Mayfield or Carr, I think we can all see the ceiling involved. Would you really give up possibly a lot of draft capital for a guy you can't rely on to put the team on his back? May as well use the picks you have to go for a guy in the draft. And again next year and so on if needs be. |

If you want to fix it for 2022 then a stud vet is the only option (there are no blue chippers in the 2022 draft) - Question why do we have to fix things now? Now has always been the mistake the Redskins have made. It has to be done now is what has locked us in the basement going on 30 years. How about trading down and building draft capital for 2023 and beyond? The 2022 draft has been assessed as one of the weaker classes across the board so it is an excellent year to trade out for future picks. Heresy I know but I have been saying that for years but the now crowd always won. |

That true about fixing things I know we are on 5 year plan. I think you go M Marrota then. You still need to bring in a vet QB in to compete.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
In a supposed weak draft class why would teams be interested in trading up?

I’d put Matt Ryan on the list. I think he would cost less than Tuggy Watson and Russ

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I forgot Matt Ryan put him on list. Marrota is only of if we draft a rookie. I still think we need someone to compete with Henike if we can't get anyone else. I also would like to go veteran. I think if we got a tier up up in qbs we would have maybe won 2nor 3 more games. Defense was not good but in some situations are offense did not help. Example Kc game I think we had one 1st down in second half. Two other example.would be green bay and Dever game.
