BUT... Considering this is going to be the 6th straight season the Colts start opening day with a different QB, maybe it's worth asking what red flags are coming from that organization too. |

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
NFL Network this morning reported that it was Irsay that wanted to move on not Ballard.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
This makes me feel a lot better. Another owner with a history of dumb calling the shots over the GM who wanted Wentz to stay? Everyone should should feel better about this

Yeah I think it was mainly Irsay driving this move.

https://www.nj.com/eagles/2022/03/ca...th-the-qb.html Jim I is a fucking whack job himself. All the owners are pretty much whack jobs. In that article Wentz even tired to reach out to Jim I to clear the air. I think a sane person would have been like lets try one more year with Carson and get him some WR help, then make a decision in 2024. Nope instead trade him for song and lets go all in on trying to get a Jim G type guy. Maybe its me but not sure jimmy G is much of a upgrade over Carson.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
On passes 20 plus yards down field CW had a 90 Overall grade which was in the top 10 of the league for starting QBs
Taylor H = 56 (Worst among 32 starters) That is the big leap we will have with Wentz, he can stretch the field and put pressure on those DBs.

Actually Wentz and Dak's grades are very similar..

Ha! I would have been fine with Mitch here if that is what they decided to do.
I don't buy current player jerseys... |

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Ron’s approach to culture and his relationship with players is why I feel much more comfortable with this move. Wentz does have a lot to prove, but can’t deny last year was a nice bounce back season on the field.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
13 hours in this thread and we are now debating baseball metaphors. I think we are missing spring training collectively.
Was looking at some of Wentz stats from last season. He had five games where his QB rating was below Heinicke's season average. In those games Indy went 2-3. Two of those games came against Jax. Perhaps sometimes a coach just has a players number?
