I still don't understand, why people think we need more corners, and I really believe with the 21st pick that we should draft Limas Sweed, and then in the second round we should draft Calais Campbell.

Because smoot and springs both had to deal with injuries. Rogers is coming off a major injury. This is springs last year under contract, and in case we cannot resign him, we would need someone to step in and fill his spot.

Exactly.

If corners aren't there(Cromartie & Jenkins), go DE Groves or HArvey.

If we get a second 3rd rounders, and the corners arent there, go WR HArdy or Sweed.

groves lost like 10 lbs between the combine and his pro day... you're talking massively undersized. i think he's probably going to end up as a 3-4 OLB (249lbs 4.57 40).

harvey is the guy i'd like the most. he's still 271lbs and he lifted MUCH better than merling (who's a 276lbs one year college wonder), and that's besides merling's hernia surgery.

Groves will probably most definitely be a 3-4 OLB. What I like about Harvey is that he can probably bulk up a bit and play on the inside in some sets. I'd prefer Merling or Jackson though.

see, i think harvey is stronger, and i'm never big on guys who only had one good year in college, so merling's just riskier from that view.

jackson also has more college experience, and if he falls to the 2nd, then that'd be a good value pick.

either way, nfl success depends a lot on the destination team and the fit, so who knows.

Would you take Manningham round 1? Could he slip to our second pick?

Re: (updated title): Make Your Day One Redskins Draft Selections (Rounds 1-2)

Hey guys quick question. Would you trade our 1st and 3rd for two of the Falcons second round picks
Just to be clear on the values:

Redskins 21st Overall Pick = 800 points
Redskins 3rd Round Pick = 170 Pts

Falcons 34th Overall = 560
Falcons 37th Pick = 530

1090 > 970 = Redskins win

or

Falcons 34th Overall = 560
Falcons 48th Overall = 420

980 > 970

I guess the second trade would be more realistic unless someone is available at 21 that the Falcons really like

Remember the Patriots Pick is now null so all picks after 31 move up a spot.

Campbell 17 you might want to edit your quote of me since I got some of the picks wrong

Personally I really like the first scenario since we could end up with Chilo Rachel, Lawrence Jackson, and Jordy Nelson since that would give us 3 future starters that played well against big time cometition. Rachel is a road grader, Jackson got 10.5 sacks at LE, and Jordy....well he has a lot of videos on YouTube and at this rate Snyder is practically desperate for a big tall Reciever.

Of course both ot the scenarios I've laid out would produce all three of the guys that I would like to see the Redskins take/who I think they would take.

Also for all you T. Laws fanboys this would put us in position to take him.

I would rather take the risk on Adrian Arrington in the later rounds, because he is 6'3 and Manningham is only 6'0, we need a big target not another little guy.

Great idea!

I don't take all that much stock in those value points. I think they are a bit outdated, but I would absolutely love to trade down. Falcons can get Henne or Brohm, or whatever young QB they want. And we can get three quality players/probably starters. No one is blowing me away at #21
