Would you take Manningham round 1? Could he slip to our second pick?

Re: (updated title): Make Your Day One Redskins Draft Selections (Rounds 1-2)

Hey guys quick question. Would you trade our 1st and 3rd for two of the Falcons second round picks
Just to be clear on the values:

Redskins 21st Overall Pick = 800 points
Redskins 3rd Round Pick = 170 Pts

Falcons 34th Overall = 560
Falcons 37th Pick = 530

1090 > 970 = Redskins win

or

Falcons 34th Overall = 560
Falcons 48th Overall = 420

980 > 970

I guess the second trade would be more realistic unless someone is available at 21 that the Falcons really like

Remember the Patriots Pick is now null so all picks after 31 move up a spot.

Campbell 17 you might want to edit your quote of me since I got some of the picks wrong

Personally I really like the first scenario since we could end up with Chilo Rachel, Lawrence Jackson, and Jordy Nelson since that would give us 3 future starters that played well against big time cometition. Rachel is a road grader, Jackson got 10.5 sacks at LE, and Jordy....well he has a lot of videos on YouTube and at this rate Snyder is practically desperate for a big tall Reciever.

Of course both ot the scenarios I've laid out would produce all three of the guys that I would like to see the Redskins take/who I think they would take.

Also for all you T. Laws fanboys this would put us in position to take him.

I would rather take the risk on Adrian Arrington in the later rounds, because he is 6'3 and Manningham is only 6'0, we need a big target not another little guy.

Great idea!

I don't take all that much stock in those value points. I think they are a bit outdated, but I would absolutely love to trade down. Falcons can get Henne or Brohm, or whatever young QB they want. And we can get three quality players/probably starters. No one is blowing me away at #21

If you have CP, Ladell Betts, Rock Cartwright, and Marcus Mason, why would you pick another running back, it makes no sense to waste a pick on an average running back when you already have guys way better than that.

if rodger- cromartie drops to the 21st pick i say we have to take him.... we need corners.... springs is old, rodgers is coming back from an injury if he can even play (i think he might be out for this season also) and he has never been that amazing for us.

I still really like Cason. I think he's going to surprise a lot of people at the pro level. I'd love it if he fell to us in the 2nd round.

Even with the hernia, still leaning toward Merling in the first round.

Re: (updated title): Make Your Day One Redskins Draft Selections (Rounds 1-2)

I got no problems with L. Jackson, but the similarities to Justin Smith are part of what I like about Merling. I'm probably in the minority here, but I like what Phillip Daniels offers the team; an everydown versatile player who is a strong run defender on the edge as well as an effective pass rusher (underestimated due to the low sack totals). Except we're at a point where we need a younger, slightly more talented version and I feel like (now that J. Smith is not an option) that Merling would be the next big thing.
