Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
I can't help but recall a statement by Thiesmann (I think?) at the beginning of the season... he had brought up that there was some bad stuff brewing in the locker room. Clearly he knew what he was talking about.

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
I think those complaints had more to do with lack of leadership from the head coach. Zorn was nothing more than a figure head.

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
So I guess we should assume all this chatter is directed towards JC only?

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
Agreed. Jason got his ass kicked repeatedly this year, was treat like a piece of garbage by the organization, and all he did was get up and keep fighting, all the while never once complaining. The class and poise with which he's handled himself is all about leadership IMO. You better believe he has the respect of the locker room. Clinton? Not so much. I'm done with him, and I think the Redskins are too. I hope.

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
WOW! Thank you Jason for confirming what we knew all along, and most of all for being a class act since the day you stepped foot on Redskin Park. I hope to see you here next year, but don't blame you one bit if you have a UHaul double parked. Godspeed.

And there's no evidence to support this opinion but let's make an exception this time because I KNOW that every post here needs definitive evidence when going against the grain. |

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
Because, the team's offense is directly related to how well the qb does. And it's not just leading by performance, but it's also leading by character and discipline (disciplining others, making sure that everyone is on the same page and going in the same direction).
Campbell has character, which I can respect -- but I don't think he has the other two traits. |

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
... and a westcoast offensive-minded team is measured more by how well it does on offense.

JC was voted team captain by his teammates, and there have been plenty of comments made in his support these last few days. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, but I don't see where JC's lack of leadership is some sort of major issue. Certainly not more so than a bad offensive line and many other issues that plagued the offense this year. |

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
hall before the season ended, then albert haynesworth, then daniels & wynn, then rock cartwright, then portis and now JC (who is really just responding to CP's comments but is sounding like a leader doing it).
these 5 players plus the "anonymous or unidentified players".

Re: Jason Campbells response to Portis
I think most of the players will side with JC as well. CP hasn't really made any friends in the locker room...
