Re: 2010 NFL Preseason

I expect the Jets will be like the old Ravens, stifling defense, little offense. Not gonna work well in the AFC East tho'.

Irrefutable logic? no...... it's more like .... deductive reasoning.

Clearly this person is correct. Now if we could all be saying so him later.....yeah you told us so.

I, personally, believe this team took a step backwards in the offseason and it becomes a monster step backward if they don't get Revis in.
Given that they have used our tried-and-not-true method of grabbing superstars in order to buy a championship, if they go anywhere this year I will be pissed. If it doesn't work for us then it shouldn't work for them.

If it's the ball-carrier it's whistled dead.

Since we are on all of this predicting talk about the AFC this year, I want to make an observation.

Is it just me or does it seem that the AFC dominated 00's is coming to an end? My prediciton is that the NFC is now the stronger conference top to bottom with the NFC producing more than half of the Superbowl winners in this coming decade.

Well, given the little known FACT that McNabb will lead us to the first ever sixpeat, I agree with Monks statement.

The guys they picked up are more scheme fits than just a splurge. Holmes still has many years in front of him and he showed why he's a starter and not a backup. Jason Taylor thrives in the 3-4, and the Jets run a 3-4. Braylon Edwards apparently just needed a change of scenery and LT is their pass catching RB third down back.

I think they also benefit from the fact that unlike the Skins of years past the Jets have not ignored their O-line. They established a good young unit there that gives them the luxury of being able to splurge in other areas.

That is a definate plus that puts what they have done in the offseason at a signifigant advantage over what we had done in all of our previous OffSeason Championship runs.

Of course this year, I still put us at the top of the offseason moves department again, but unlike years past our focus was Oline and QB. Which will provide us with a better chance of actually winning then previous years where we added a couple of pieces of high priced and overevaluated defensive players.

Man, if Donovan came out of the Ravens game with a sprained ankle, I don't think things are looking up for Eli Manning and the Giants' aging/injured o-line....
