Does it really matter what wideout is better and what methodology is better for grading a wideout? Marshall and Johnson are never gonna play for the Redskins, but you can sure as hell bet they're better than all the wideouts on our roster today.

At this point I don't think it Makes sense to get VJ as of Saturday he would not be allowed contact with the team & he dosen't know the OFF.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"

this thread has been great guys. Reading all of the back and forth. But not just bringing stats but also well thought out posts. Awesome work!

I am not even going to weigh in on my opinion because i do not have the time to get into this 3 day long conversation about the top 10 WR in the league and the VJ vs. BM debate.

I would still love to see VJ come here...and I think his value is at an all time low...especially since he's out for 6 games minimum.

From what I've heard/understand any team that is able to workout a deal and sign him can petition the NFL to have it reduced back to 3 games.

I did not know that.

There has to be a point where the Chargers realize they aren't getting anything in return for VJ so might as well get what you can. I don't understand why they just aren't signing him. I really think we would have a very good receiving core if we got him. Moss would slip into the slot, and be used the way he was meant to be used and we could open the whole field up for McNabb. But I certainly agree with the Skins brass at this point that they want too much. No need giving up everything for a guy that may be free a little later.

Per Adam S.:

Clock is ticking: Chargers have from Friday 4 pm to Wednesday 4 pm to trade Vincent Jackson, with him missing four games. Otherwise, 6 games

I need a log to track all my conspiracy theories, unfortunately that might only prove how silly I am. Anyway conspiracy theory #1923:

Haynesworth's ankle is fine, but we know we are trading him in a 3 way deal with Tennessee and SD, so we are keeping him off the field so he doesn't get hurt. The deal is all but done from the other week and now we just need to wait until 4pm saturday to make it so!

A win-win for everyone. Another scenario would be for a three-way trade with the Texans, as they play the 4-3 and could use a Haynesworth-type in their defense.

Also, we wouldn't give up any draft picks. Another plus, IMO.

Ok, I'll be the village idiot.... why do we have to wait till 4 pm Saturday? Why not just go ahead and get it done now? I mean the Chargers have from what?.... Wed of this week to Fri of next to get something done or he serves a full 7 games suspension? What is the significance of Saturday?
