Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Observation: When Rex no time, Rex bad. When Rex yes time, Rex good.
Analysis: Upgrade the line and Rex will be serviceable next year!

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
We should be tied I say we get it after the half and drive right down for another. I wonder if it's injury but #98 is just not getting to the QB like he was.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
I need to pay more attention to this. They've been moving him around more than usual I have noticed. He needs to do a better job of shedding blocks, especially on runs.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Yep.. and he's had another this year too. That's kind of what I meant about not being able to listen, these guys are off of their rockers by now. Like you mentioned, it was only last week that Davis got a TD..

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
I wonder what a Redskins team would look like if they ever had a good O-Line, when was the last time it wasnt one of the worst units in the league? Any QB is going to look bad if he is getting planted on his ass all the time. I think we should bring Grossman back for next year so we can keep working on getting our 0-line restocked with young talent. We could use improvement from LG all the way to RT. Williams is looking like a great pick. I want that C/G from Penn State if we could get him in the 2nd round. 1st round take the best available player regardless of position.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
McNabb can be better in this offense if he would be open to doing what KS is asking to work on to get better. He stuck on his old ways from Philly.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
It's hard to take a guy and change the mechanics that he's had his whole career. From the footwork to the decision making. Some guys can do it (re: Grossman, Vick this year) and some apparently cannot. I don't think that McNabb will be able to make the change.. or is not willing, one of the other. The path of least resistance seems to be his m-o right now.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Footwork is mostly independent of the system. Sure you'll have different drops but mechanics are mechanics.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Which is why you don't go and get yourself an expensive veteran QB past his prime and gamble on him picking up a new offense. Sure, McNabb didn't adjust, and well that's what happens when you've played in one system and comes to a brand new one. Once again, why this front office gambled on a QB learning a new system and playing behind a terrible line? I don't know, but it was a sizeable setback in my opinion.

Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Okay.. We get the ball back first in the 2nd half. Hopefully we can continue doing what we did at the end of the first half.
