Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I'd put him with the top tier guys. I'd probably go with Luck, then Griffin, then Barkley, then Foles, all top ten picks.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
Landry Jones and Kirk Cousins are very similar to me. Hard to put a round grade on them. They're both first round talents in terms of arm strength and ability to make throws with people around them, but they're third round decision makers.
I think Jones is really undervalued at this point, and would love to have him, but I think it's because he's so undervalued that he'll stay in school at this point.

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
That's what I meant. Luck, Barkley, RGIII are sure prospects, Foles is in my opinion some experts disagree. I thought you said he wouldn't be drafted till around the 5th round?

My bad, you said 5th or 6th overall not round. I agree with you 100%.

Don't forget about Ryan Tannehill. Whether you like him or not, if you want to talk about possible Redskins QBs the conversation has to include, perhaps even start with, Tannehill

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I really hope we pick up RG3, i feel he is going to be a franchise type quarterback. If we suck enough the rest of the year and get a top 6 pick, i think trading down and picking up another draft pick is a very realistic option.
btw, I really think that Dwight Jones from north carolina is going to be a ridiculous talent in the NFL. If we could pair RG3 up with this guy, my god would I be happy. Watching Jones catch the ball is a thing of beauty, very underrated IMO. He doesnt get enough targets, and if he did, he would be putting up obscene numbers. Just watch this guy play........he is going to be ridiculous. Dwight Jones vs Florida State - YouTube |

Re: 2012 QB Prospects (Part 2)
I just got through watching tapes of Barkley of USC. Never really watched him play, as some USC talent is overhyped just because they are at USC, kinda like Ohio state talent.
After watching the tape (about 20 minutes worth of highlights), this guy is absolutely who we need to draft. If there is any way we can get him, we need to make it happen. He brings it all to the table, and i couldnt believe the touch and zing he puts on passes while the pocket around him disintegrates. Great poise, decision making and accuracy. Surefire top 5 pick, surefire NFL star. |
