Re: RGIII Named Starter
I can see how they would grant a trademark for RG3 & RGIII, but he certainly can't be the only person in history named Robert Griffin III?
Does that mean if my name is Robert Griffin, my son and grandson can't have that name? |

Re: RGIII Named Starter
Pretty sure it's just for RGIII, RG3, etc. as it pertains to his likeness.

No, that means you, your son, and your grandson can't attempt to profit off merchandise bearing RG3 or any trademarked variation of that monikor.

Re: RGIII Named Starter
It is a slippery slope though. It is my understanding that each trademark would have to stand on it's own. If that is correct, then I can't see them issuing a trademark on his name. Obviously his likeness is a different matter. I can certainly see them issuing it on RG3 & RGIII.
Just because you apply for one, doesn't mean it gets issued. |

Re: RGIII Named Starter
I think it was MtC's, basically all the questions he's been asked before. They asked him about who's showing him the ropes Robert said KS & MLfr was breaking the OF down for him & MS was the final word. Robert hasn't spoken to Rex yet.

Re: RGIII Named Starter
I'm listening to 980 right now w/ Al Galdi.
He's replaying some of Mike Shanahan comments from the Redskins Anniversary event. Mike Shanahan really, really, likes Robert Griffin, really. And the more I hear Mike Shanahan talk about Griffin the more excited I get. |
