However, he doesn't need to be discussing jack shit with the media in regards to his displeasure with the plan or anything related. Just tell them you feel great, you are looking forward to being out there, but consult Coach Shanahan if you want specifics about any timeline.

Look at Peyton Manning's situation his last year in Indy. There were reports that he was begging the coaching staff to play him in goal line situations (that didn't require the arm strength), but yet you never heard him bitching to the media about not liking the plan they had him on.

Just shut up Robert, and play football. You blew your opportunity to have any say in when you come back. In fact, he's largely responsible for him having the ACL injury to begin with.

That said, the media is most certainly blowing this up to be something it is not.
I'll say this about RG3, he reminds me of Theismann a little bit. He's got some Hollywood in him, loves the limelight, he's a diva, pretty selfish...but he might be the toughest guy on the team and you have to break his leg off to get him out of the game. I want that in my QB. I'd much rather have a guy like that, than a guy like Jay Cutler.

Phlilip Thomas visiting 2nd doc to get opinion on his sprain.

Phillip Thomas - Washington Redskins - 2013 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

I'm a little nervous about this...could miss some major time if it's the wrong kind of sprain. With Meriweather's history, we need Thomas to be ready to step in.

The RG3 Outtakes from his GQ Cover Story: The Q: GQ

Best friend on the team?
"I'm trying to think. I'm a natural loner. I can hang out with everybody, but I don't have a best friend. Let me think. Oh. Probably [cornerback] Richard Crawford."
Scariest defensive player in the league?
"I'd have to go in our division: DeMarcus Ware. I don't ever fear a player, but D Ware, he got me good twice last year. Took my head off."

I think thats the assumption the media is trying to imply when talking heads state RG3 doesnt like tc and doesnt want to work in tc. I think it was Dukes who originally said that a couple weeks ago. Obviously far from the truth. No one ever said he was lazy.

Florio filling in for Dan Patrick lead the show today with soundbites from RG3 presser and then right into the assumptions room trying to interpret the real frustrations are from how things were handled at the end of last season have lead to this tension in tc. I dont know, turned the channel as i parked for work. If im tired of anything, its about how last season ended...apparently some havent even moved on from that...

Like Matty said, there would be a headline involving Griffin/Shanny/Andrews no matter what the story line was. Griffin is a media magnet. And the Skins under Shanallen have not shown themselves to be media averse - AH conditioning comes to mind. I do think they ought to consider reducing media availability of Griffin for the next 2 weeks, but then the story would be that they aren't letting him talk, and rumors of discontent would swirl. At least this way, everybody's opinions and positions are clearly defined, and when Week 1 comes around and Griffin starts, this will all be water under the bridge.

If he plays well... all will be water under the bridge. Let's all hope he does. If he plays poorly, I can see it now.....there will be Cousins talk, there will be.."I needed more reps in pre season"....and so on.

What do you expect when people still think there was a cornerback here with #28 named Daryl Greene?

I thought he wore 91 and played LB...I am confused.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0

So...to get away from RG3, what about the defense? Looked pretty bad against the run. Do we have an issue here? Is this the year Fletcher falls off a cliff? Maybe the pass rush improves but the run D suffers.

Yea, but he still needs to just shut up. If he just replied to the media by saying something like. "The coach has made the decision for me not to play so I'll be getting ready to go when I'm called on". Say the same thing everytime your asked and the question goes away and its not asked anymore. I personally think he eats this up and likes the attention.
