Re: All things offseason discussion part II

And this is the guy who paid Gordon's bond:

Convicted felon paid Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon's bond - ESPN

The guy looks like a serious shady character. As long as Gordon's got money, this guy will be his best friend - I bet he has all sorts of "investments" for Gordon. Soon enough the money will be gone, Gordon will wonder where it all went and this guy will shrug and walk away.

What's the over/under on how many years until we read about ex-NFL Gordon being broke and going to jail for many years?

Re: All things offseason discussion part II

It's all more of the "criminal element" that the NFL has seemed to embody the last couple of years. I think the only way you get that crap out of the league, is the first time someone gets in trouble with the law beyond a misdemeanor, they are cut from the team and blackballed from the NFL. As others have pointed out, alot of these guys aren't super smart to begin with, so within a few years of being out of the NFL they will likely be unemployed and homeless.

It sounds crazy i'm sure but i'm tired of hearing about all these guys that still get to play in the NFL after felony drug / weapon / DUI charges like it's no big deal. I mean Josh Brent is probably going to be on a roster next year somewhere unless they set a standard going forward.

Re: All things offseason discussion part II

From Tandler:

"Quarterback Robert Griffin III will work with quarterbacks coach Terry Shea next week. Griffin worked with Shea earlier this offseason for a week, but wanted another tune-up before training camp begins July 24. Shea focused hard on Griffin’s fundamentals, including narrowing his base, getting his feet to turn with his body in the pocket and raising where Griffin held the ball -- at times last year he held it too low, leading to a wind-up throw. Griffin clearly has worked hard this offseason."

I think that this is great news for Skins fans. RGIII is doing everything he can this offseason to improve his game. I'm anticipating a big year for him. If he does have a big year, I think there's no limit to what the Skins can achieve. He can be that good, IMO.

You can say what you want about him being a diva and an attention hound.

The man works.

Re: All things offseason discussion part II

Rg III is for real.

As far as the dollar bill goes, he's either about to snort something or tip a bouncer.

JM is a douche, and I don't believe will last in the league till he gets his head on right.

PFM Extra: Dallas Cowboys Read Mean Tweets About Themselves - ProFootballMock.com - ProFootballMock.com

If anyone should have had a statue unveiled outside their Alma-Mater it should have been Patrick Ramsey at Tulane. Talk about a statue. I will say this though that college football teams in Texas are having a mini arms race being among the very few willing to build new stadiums as its very rare these days for a team to get a new place in college football. Maybe an upgrade or renovation if they're lucky.

This year Baylor, Tulane, and Houston will have new stadiums to go along with North Texas who had a new field build in 2011.

Well luckily for those schools the students will be paying for it.
