There was to many instances of women being threatened by the abuser and choosing not to go ahead with charges due to the threats. NJ could have charged Rice regardless of what Janay said or what she wanted to happen. She could have asked for all charges dismissed and NJ could have said no and charged him anyways. NJ dropped the ball because Rice should be in jail.

If I was RR's agent I'd tell him to stay in shape because I think there's a good chance he will be back in the league in 2 years.

At the RB position on or over the age of 30? I always believe people deserve a second chance if they truely change their ways, but its gonna be tough.

I think some team will bring him in next year. It'll be died down by then and some team will give him the second chance.

Agreed, there likely won't be much of a market for him. His game was already on the decline.

But there will be a market and it seems that after a year people tend to forgive and forget. Look at Incognito and Penn State.

He's suspended indefinitely, no guarantee he'll be let back in after a year.
