Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

Game ball goes to Haslett for having faith in Breeland and Amerson and not playing them 15 yards away from the line of scrimmage.

Jay is no rush at all to play Griffin. None at all

I honestly think they need to hold RG3 out until after the bye. Have him come in fresh for the Bucs game.

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

Totally, after the bye
Colt has earned another start. If he continues, if will serve as a nice showcase as well.....

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

Anybody heard an explanation why the defense seemed to ease up on blitzing when Romo went out?

Seemed like Weedon had way more time to throw than Romo.

If Gruden had his way, RG3 would not take the field again this year

Let's run through each QB and the 3 key decision makers

Griffin

Snyder: Loves him. This is the franchise, the meal ticket. If Colt is playing well and winning the ONLY way RG3 takes the field is because of Snyder

Allen: Indifferent towards him as a QB, but realizes he's $$ in the bank when he's on the field and playing well

Gruden: Thinks RG3 is nowhere near ready to play football. And I'm not talking about physically, I'm talking about understanding and being able to execute the offense. That's why Jay keeps saying when Rob's "healthy and ready to play football" As in the doctors might clear him, but that doesn't mean he's ready to play

Cousins

Snyder: Probably wants him gone ASAP now

Allen: Likes him, but sort of eh

Gruden: So so on him as a person, thought he'd be the perfect QB to execute his offense for this year. Knows ceiling is limited though

McCoy

Snyder: Probably didn't even know who he was until yesterday

Allen: Huge fan. Use to watch games with Jon back in 2009 and they'd talk often about Colt being the perfect WCO QB

Gruden: Colt is far and away his favorite. Loves him as a person, loves him as a QB. So total package Colt is his favorite of the 3. But he and Colt both know his role on this team is at best solid #2

However, as long as Jay believes RG3 is not ready and Cousins has shat (shitted? shitten?) the bed then you ride that #2 until you can't no more. And it helps that Allen feels strongly about Colt too

Seriously, for any other reason other than he wants him healthy?

All this lip service from him in the media about griffin being the guy is just that?

Sorry, but for a guy in Griffin who electrified this city and team just two short seasons ago can someone get him back on the track of being someone great like we all saw...

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

Lets rotate all three qb's throughout the game. Gibbs claim to fame is that he won three sb's with three different qb's, and Grudens will be that he won one with three qb's.

Hmm. Maybe Merriweather just needed another solid player back there with him to shore up the seconday. And Clark isn't elite by a long shot. Safety and oline gotta be top priorities come offseason. Like somebody else said, the Rams got a good safety in Barron for cheap.

So does that mean he wants RG III gone in the offseason and another QB brought in?

No, no, not at all. He likes him, thinks he can be outstanding. Not ready this season though. Needs more time

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game

That makes no sense to me. How are Cousins and McCoy ready to run this offense but RGIII is not? Isn't it new to all of them?
