JG knows with the O-line and the rest of the offense being bad he will get killed in there. I think on some level JG is telling himself that he isn't going to be the one who ruins this kid's career by playing him when he's obviously not ready.
doubt it. I think its sour grapes and ego that will keep him from playing haskins.

There were rumors that Jay did not want to draft DH at 15 because he felt the team didn't need a rookie 1st rd QB and if u look at Jays history as a HC when has he ever groomed a young QB to take over? It doesn't happen.

1. I dont think Jay ever got a chance to really pick his QB. He inherited RG3 and Kirk Cousins and I think if he (and McVay) did get to choose, they would have chosen someone in the mold of Kirk. A quick read, quick throw type with anticipation and touch.

2. Jay and McVay groomed a 4th round QB into a top 15 QB who is one of the highest paid. (we dont need to rehash Kirk arguments, his play this year or whether he was worth the money etc)

Jay is a better coach then he gets credit for imo. Im not saying he is a great HC but hes better than Snyder and Bruce deserve imo.

Shanahans/Mcvay groomed cousins, jay just got him in the middle of his rise and halted/stopped it - kirk stopped improving under jay alone, may have even regressed

hes a shit HC, and his play calling the last few years tells me hes an avg OC - get this dude the fuck outta here. But please, no sooner than manusky cuz thats the biggest train wreck at the coaching level, prior to starting colt mccoy over haskins greg manusky is the worst thing about this staff right now

So Jay gets no credit for 2017 when Kirk put up 4,093 yds, 27 tds and 4 game winning drives?

That was with the highly explosive pass catching group of Crowder, vernon Davis, Ryan Grant, Josh Doctson and about 7 games of Jordan Reed before he IRd for the remainder of the season ... behind an injury decimated O line.

IMO Jay is better than he gets credit for around here. Perhaps if he truly got to pick his own QB, had final say on roster moves (like whether or not to trade for Alex Smith or Case Keenum), go to pick his DC and didnt coach a team that had historically unprecedented injuries for 2016-2018 .. yeah then maybe I could blame him as the reason for our record.

Dead horse now, apologies.

"Jay Gruden is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the head coach for the Washington Redskins since 2014. During this time period, the Redskins compiled a 35-47-1 record."

That's exactly how good he is as a coach.
How many times do we need to see no halftime adjustments, or holding out players in favor of some total garbage favorite that he has? Hes terrible. This team has gone from garbage to pure and utter shit. All on his watch. The only reason that Kirk excelled was because of mcvay. Not jay. Get this clown the fuck out of here. Get rid of the whole lot of them. They are fucking clown shoes.

Tell me again how a coach that is 35-47 is better than he gets credit for. I have some land in texas to sell you when you're done with your explanation, btw.

You want credit for a 7-9 season where the offense was ranked #16 in points and Yards?

Jay is a ham sandwich, nothing more.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?

In the movie Christmas Vacation, Eddie chooses not to take the sled down the hill because he doesn't want to risk going down the hill "with nothing between the ground and my brains but a piece of government plastic." To which Clark responds, "Do you really think it matters, Eddie?"

So everyone wants to fire Gruden and Manusky...

Playoffs?! Are you kidding me?! 8-8 would have been a miracle for this team. If you think this team had a shot at the playoffs you need to wake up.

Ultimately a stupid, meaningless slogan that says nothing about nothing. If your record actually said whst you are. Worst to first the following season, would never happen.
Just a dumb sports cliche, to go along with all the other dumb sports cliches
