I really feel like Dallas fans are reaching on this one, talking about how their healthy secondary is going to be the difference in a game that will obviously be won in the trenches and hinge on the run, which the Redskins D is very prepared to SHUT DOWN.
Welllll.......I wouldn't exactly say our o-line is in high-gear right now. We had a couple of good games against very average defensive lines. On a couple of occasions we couldn't punch it in from the goal line or third and very short. I think how they stand up against Dallas will be the best test we've had since, oh perhaps the San Diego game.

And please don't take this as me trying to counter everything in your post, but our defensive line is a little hobbled right now. Everyone will suit up, but I doubt everyone is completey healthy...then again no one in the NFL is completely healthy at this time of the year.

I feel you on Taylor's play, though. He's playing really good ball right now. He's playing the run very well, and we know what he can do when the ball's in the air. I think he should be a Pro-Bowler this year, but we'll see how the chips fall.

Re: (Mega Merged Thread) Redskins-Dallas Game

No offense to either side, but anyone calling for this to be a crushing win/loss in either direction is pretty much talking out their ass. These teams are dead even in stats and talent if you ask me. Dallas has a slightly better passing offense, we have a slightly better running offense, and so on.

I love the smack talk and team spirit as much as the next guy, but anyone seriously arguing for a blowout one way or another is just going a little too far.

My prediction: 17-14 Redskins. Skins get an early lead, play back and forth all game, take the lead late in the fourth and the D comes up with a big stand in the last few minutes.

speaking of the iron man award, did anyone notice the reaction of ron dayne's face while eating that pie? it looked like he was trying real hard to be polite to simms... he even had an extra bite towards the end of the interview, but it looked like he didn't enjoy it!

Hope the weather cooperates, Portis will have a chance to run wild in the snow. Dallas can no longer pop off about their defense, not after Larry Johnson ran up and down the field so much I thought he was running windsprints. Turns out he was only punishing the Dallas defense...

If we can bottle up the trick plays, Parcells loves them so much he even refers to them by their 1950's nickname, then we should be ok because the Cowboys wideouts struggle outside of the trickery. Gibbs 17-0, payback for the 1986 playoff game.

Will we wear the white uniforms for the third straight week? Can't really imagine that against Dallas, which is such an old-school kind of game...

Sorry to ask an ignorant question but how do you know we'll wear all white?
There are so many ridiculous posts on this thread I don't know where to begin....5Rings posts actually scare me, it's a good thing the Tuna is not as smart. USA TODAY 12/16----INJURY Cowboys: Probable Chris Canty....SKINS: well you can look yourselves = NO Sellers there???

To address all the other ridiculous posts in sum; the game will not be 7 to 3 anybody! Period. Yes our D-line is beat up and has been since about week 2, hmmm who'd we play? Our secondary is decimated,(except for 21). Their will not be a blowout. It would just be a sin. Also take into mind that two out of the 5 top coaches are facing each other. As well, if Gibbs is tired then he'll hang up the cleats this year----no way, he's serious, always has been.....Look at Gibbs in the pic when A. Brown is running back the kick last week. Gibb's is not watching the field b/c GW has the D, and he's preparing for the next series of O. Unfortunately for us SKINS we have to count on KC winning----you know all the rest, for the rest of you NFC easter's, look at what happens if we 3 go 10-6.
hate being long winded, pardon me

just win baby

You misread Dirtbag's post. He was asking if we would wear all white, not stating that we would

Ok, seeing as people rarely return to their pre-game prediction posts, I thought I would. And clearly I was talking out my ass and didn't know jack. So, I'm willing to publicly admit I was flat out wrong, and I apologize to those I corrected who thought this was a blowout. I'm willing to eat crow.

And by the way, this crow is DELICIOUS. I sure hope I'm wrong like this more often!
