Employment and Recession: More Job Losses to ComeEconomists React: ‘Scary’ Employment ReportJanuary 9, 2009, 12:04 PM ET.Bush On Jobs: The Worst Track Record On Record

By WSJ Staff
President George W. Bush entered office in 2001 just as a recession was starting, and is preparing to leave in the middle of a long one. That’s almost 22 months of recession during his 96 months in office.

His job-creation record won’t look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton’s administration and only slightly better than President George H.W. Bush did in his four years in office
taken from a wall street journal article. not sure where SS33 is getting his info from

Here's where I got my info and it is fact. The Bush Admin oversaw 52 consecutive months of job growth, which is unprecedented. You can put whatever context you want around it to frame it against Clinton/Reagan, but it happened and it was a good thing.

Biography of George W. Bush

More backup sources:

http://www.commerce.gov/s/groups/pub...d01_005067.pdf

U.S. Budget and Economy: Are the 52 Months of Job Growth Under Bush Significant?

there are many more sources I could cite. Even those who aren't fans of Bush can't argue the facts:

George W. Bush on Jobs

Not a good idea to post from unedited WSJ blogs and say my facts are wrong.

Re: What has Obama done well?

well, if he only gained a total of 3 million jobs the entire 8 years in office, must of been gaining a couple of hundred at a clip( to claim 52 cons.)

52 cons. months X a couple hundred at a clip = 10,400 total jobs. Doesn't quite make sense.

It's amazing how far some will go will skew facts to serve their own personal adgenda. Obviously in your eyes, even when Bush did things well, you hated him enough to think he did NOTHING right.

Assume my affiliations if you will. I voted for Paul. Independent from LA if you please. Did you understand all of "My Pet Goat" when Bush was reading it to you during the 911 attacks?

hate is a very strong word that i rarely use.my dad is a life long republican. he always taught me to judge a a President by what shape he left things after he left office. jsarno, i have but one question for you. are we better off after 8 years of President Bush? your really drinking the kool aid if you answered yes. and SS33, you stated that W. protected us from terrorists from 2001-2008. talking about skewing the facts. does Sept. 11, 2001 ring a bell?

I think you know pretty well that SS33 was referring to after 9/11 and through 2008.

Ron Paul is doubly wretched and loathsome.

And we will certainly miss Tim Russert, he was definitely one of the good guys.

Careful. I'll start posting Bush clips and the epitomy of douchebaggery and incompetence will eclipse anything Paul, Obama, Carter, Reagan, Taft, Clinton, Hoover, Wilson....Helms..well, you get the point. Or maybe you don't. Doesn't matter anyway. Get used to 7 more years of Obama.
