Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
Not surprised about Hall. Was never a big fan but he did play pretty well down the stretch last season.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
I hope we re-sign Hall. It's not very often a guy says he wants to stay on with his team and openly says he'll take a pay cut to do so. Hall is a baller and the more I reflect on the season I like his fiesty ways. Our defense can be flat, lackluster in long stretches outside of London's tremendous effort/focus and Hall's edge.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
Imagine this 4:30 presser with MS and BA together:
At 4pm, Mr Mara and Mr Goodell, along with the other owners in the NFL, were served with an injunction on all actions related to the blatant extortionary tactics, and we intend to disregard the 18M salary cap penalty. If any FA acquisition that we try to make is denied on grounds of the salary cap penalty, we will immediately file the appropriate legal briefs regarding unfair constraint of trade acts. Thank you and have a good day. ok, I probably got all the legal terms wrong, and it probably won't go down like that, but I would just like to hear the words "Mr Mara was served", If that's bad, then sue me :cheeky-sm |

Mr. Mara, Mr. Goodell, you screwed us in 2012 with $18 million in cap penalties and we kicked your ass. You're screwing us again and we'll kick it once more. RG3 bitches. (drops mic-walks off)

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
Per JasonLaCanfora: In addition to releasing CB DeAngelo Hall, as expected, Skins also highly likely to release Santana Moss and Adam Carriker. Need cap space

Gdamnit I hate to see Moss go. Lame.
Maybe we'll re-sign to a more cap-friendly deal. He deserves that opportunity.

Partially because I just read this in his wiki. On January 25, 2012, his $5.2 million home in Florida went into foreclosure.

Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013
Its not about Hall personally, its about not overpaying, and creating bad contracts.

Thanks for the years of service Moss and D Hall...both were favorites of mine at one point in time. Its time to move on.

Since Cerrato has been gone, we have had solid success in the FA market. Last year's crop were significant contributor's to the team at relatively reasonable prices. Without going back, pretty sure the same could about MS's first crop of UFA's. Shanallen runs March very differently than Cerrato.

I hope we don't break the bank for any big signings. If we can get just 1 of the 3 positions signed , RT, S, CB, then we could have a more open draft to get best players avaialble while filling in the other 2 positions. Don't overpay though.
