I hope we don't, but it wouldn't be surprised if we beat the cowboys and mess up the second pick

Re: QB or BPA for our #1 Draft Pick - 2020

Take Chase Young and gain a superstar at a key position for a decade or more. You gain extra draft picks by trading Trent Williams and Kerrigan. TW gets you the second rounder we lack and Kerrigan gets a fourth rounder.

If we have another outstanding draft like last year, we’ll do well -especially if draft guru Kyle Smith is our GM. Also, by dumping all of our perennial injured FA, we’ll have $80-90 mill in cap space to draft an excellent TE and for defensive players.

IF Snyder fires BA, and can entice a premiere HC (and DC) and keep Kyle Smith in the draft room, then this team has a LOT of POTENTIAL. Our 2019 draft class is outstanding. Haskins has shown his potential, even with a patch-work OL and crappy TE. If a potential HC can look PAST our 3 win season, we have a lot that a coach would want.

Young or Thomas would be excellent choice for Redskins although if there's an opportunity to gain a king's ransom by trading away our pick, we must consider it.. For those people who want Young - look at Bears and Texans, they both have a superstar in Mack and Watt (and Clowney before this year) and yet those players couldn't do enough to bring the teams to playoffs. Or at least, not on a regular basis..

Redskins have a lot of needs other than Dline and QB. If we can get a king's ransom for our pick, I would be really tempted to accept it. I suppose it also depends on which team we are trading with. If it is a team that is likely to be average team or worse next year then I would go for it.

All I’m gonna to say is, the 49ers have pretty much the same team as last year. What made a difference? Bosa. Chase Young would do the same for us, it would help our DB’s and LB’s tremendously.

Chase Young would make Montez Sweat more productive on the other size and shorten the mount of time the corners have to cover. We can't pass on this guy and we should start Morgan Moses at QB so we can guarantee we have the #2 pick.

Trading down gets us what? 2 more Jon Allens? Solid player but opposing teams don't game plan for him.

Young and Sweat COULD be the new Manley and Mann.

I want some Young Sweat for 2020!

Chase would be our next Sean Taylor on D.

BINGO! Young would make the entire DL much, much better. That AND a premiere DC to properly manage this squad. This defense is totally handicapped by poor coaching. Manusky just sucks. He has completely VANILLA schemes, with little blitzing nor stunts. A really good DC will completely transform this defense into the top half of the NFL, even with the players we have now!

Add Chase Young, a CB or S draft pick(s) and some excellent FA with our $80-90 mill in free cap money (when we dump all our. FA ) and better coaching and this defense will be in the top 10 defenses, next year.

You guys act like this is going to the grocery store and picking up a few things for xmas dinner... lol. They don't know what they're doing in free agency. They rarely pay their own guys (like Murphy or Lo Alexander) but go out and overpay bums like Richardson or Collins.

Isn’t that how Sean was viewed before being drafted? Just a different position

I see no problem it’s getting excited about getting a generational talent like Chase Young. However, I see the Redskin’s choosing to trade down for a boatload of lower picks as being an equal chance as getting Young.

The draft when Sean Taylor was picked was a contentious one for Redskin’s fans. I argued for an Edge pass rusher versus a Safety at the time. But there was no arguing what a difference Sean made for the team when he arrived . He was a monster hitter that WR feared. A player with that much talent can make a huge improvement to the defense or offense. He made watching the defense an exciting event.

No draft pick is a lock. But getting Chase could raise the defense up single-handedly and make our DL a monster part of our team.

Exhibit A: 49ers and Bosa. He’s made a huge difference, they were the shits last year with pretty much the same players, they were so bad they got the 2nd overall pick. Sound familiar?

How? Sweat isn't winning his one on one match ups so I'm not sure what Young will do.
