Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions
The reason picking games is so hard is that even if you make the smart logical selection (i.e. the best team), you still have a good chance of being wrong.
Over the course of the season, if I say the Skins are going to go 9-7, I may miss some games here and there (they might beat GB and lose to the Cards for all I know), but at least things have a chance to even out for me, and allow my prediction to be accurate anyway. In a single game, if one team fumbles one too many times, or drops one too many interceptions, they could lose a very winnable game. Now, later that season, a team could pick up a win in similar style, a dropped INT by the opponent, or by recoving a ball the QB was stripped of. But thats why it's pointless to debate the matchups, IMO. Theres been some great points on both sides of things that could determine the outcome of this game, but even the most fundamental of knowledges comes down to a wild guess. I'll hold on to my Skins pick in this one, but I'd never get on anyone for taking the Dolphins. Remember, you can always defend your pick by saying "I think they will get lucky!" Then no one can argue with you |

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions
41-9 Washington, maybe 12 but the Dolphins will not score one touchdown. All field goals, all day. The media and press will say that it was a fluke and that Washington took advantage of a Dolphins team that isn't that good, they have a new coach blah blah blah.

Did anyone hear anything recently regarding Portis' knee? I've got a buddy asking whether or not to start him in fantasy this week...

Honestly, unless he's in JUST for the red zone, I wouldn't start him. His workload is going to be cut waaaaay down.

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions
There sure is a lot of overconfidence here on the upcoming Dolphins game. The Bears overlooked us last year and we embarrassed them ... with Harrington as our quarterback.

Can't wait to see what kind of pics you have lined up for our games against the Eagles and Cowboys. :tongue Too bad no teams use baby seals for their mascots.

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions
I would really like to state my opinion, but there are just so many experts on here...there just isn't enough room for people with contrary opinions. Am I too sensitive or am I actually not in a blog where every Redskin Fan can express his opinion without ridicule or scorn. You know you guys like Smoot are soo good...you should make a living at it. I'll try to find a blog where maybe my opinion won't be so distorted or twisted then closed before I have a chance to defend myself. Sorry I wasn't a memeber of the Gibbs coaching staff like I am sure you are for being so in the know.

I should have known this wasn't a gentleman's blog when you are labeled camp scrub by someone who doesn't know you or football as a matter of fact.
