Re: Who is Next?
Keep Greg I'd hate to see him go somewhere else and shine, remeber Belichek had head coaching stints then was an assistant then the head coach of New England I see Greg as that type of coach...

But your last point is a good one. Gibbs alluded to that too the other day, he said the owner has to be "comfortable" with the coach. That's one of the main reasons I wonder if he'll even really consider Grilliams. |

Re: Who is Next?
The lack of statements from Snyder about how he and GW are "on the same page", "understand each other", etc. In fact, the almost complete non-discussion of GW's qualifications is the only thing that causes me pause in asserting that GW will be the next coach.
With that said, I think GW is the next coach. But I ain't betting the house on it - Maybe dinner at McD's.

Re: Who is Next?
Snyder and Williams aren't exactly bunk buddies, but they've apparently grown to a mutual respect of each other. But that was precipitated primarily by Gibbs. Without Gibbs as a daily buffer (sigh...I miss him already), it will be interesting to see how the relationship plays out.
Still, all indications are he's in the lead. But...there could be a surprise in the works. Someone you'd never expect.

Re: Who is Next?
hopefully it will be gw or al , and who ever it is hopefully will stay away from the other and let them do there job.syder should look at the two of them and figure out which one would be better with time mangament and thouse tuff decsions.but if syder does want some fresh blood in here im acutly partial to jiiim mora jr who was a good coach for the falcons ,and did a good job with seatles secondary this year. how ever i would like to reienterate that id prefer that we keep as much the same as possable.

Just listen to any interview and tell me if you think that GW is a leader. Tell me if you think GW is organized. Also, by the way the players, both offensively and defensively have issued their support in having him our next HC. This shows he has respect. So we have a born leader, organized, massive will to succeed, and respect from his players. Sounds like a good candidate to me. |

Re: Who is Next?
I think it will probably be Gregg Williams and he's going to bring in Jim Schwartz to be his Assistant Head Coach-Defense

He's done enough to deserve a second chance, if he blows the second chance fine, he's just a coordinator. Unless your name is Norv Turner I guess. |

Re: Who is Next?
By the way, interesting article from Wilbon. He doesn't think the Redskins will shy away from the high profile coaching pick.

From what P. King posted about candidates (I respect King's work, btw, though he has earned a bad rep here) this week, Schwartz sounds like the kind of guy we need; background in economics & understands the value aspect of players w/the cap. |
