Things that will most likely not happen aside, it feels like the Caps have been off forever lol. It's kinda nice getting a little rest in the playoffs but I'm also too impatient to wait for all these game 7's to finish. Hopefully the Caps first game against TB is on Friday. This should be an interesting series, the Caps had the Lightning's number in the regular season but we all know that's not the same. As long as the Caps hold true to their newfound defensive ways and limit TB's chances I think we'll advance.

I can't see the rest as anything but positive. the whole too much rest thing is just bs theory which helps pass time during these lulls.
Rest heals players. Having Green good to go is huge. We aren't making any major changes either so it's fine. If something small like mental focus or toughness was lacking with the Caps, we wouldn't have won Game 4.

Wow. Yeah almost an entire week off. I'm optimistic Boudreau will have them fired up and ready to go when they get back on the ice but if they do come out slow I think it won't last into the second period. Boudreau will let them have it if they come out slow in the first.

Arnott's the reason why they've improved so much from their previously overrated and undisciplined selves.
Damn you, Arnott, damn you.

We're in trouble. Roloson looks really sharp, and we give up another PP goal. We CAN'T keep giving them penalties. Lecavalier/St. Louis/Stamkos are so nasty on the PP together.

Devastating loss tonight. 2-0 is a deep, deep hole to come out of. Even more so when we just blew home ice advantage
