I couldn't help but think about Theismann's injury when I saw Robert's knee buckle. Just heart wrenching.

I saw it too. Remember the game vividly. The images of it being a home game, nationally televised, and yes, the knee (Theismann's was a compound fracture) visibly buckling stirred those same images of what happened to Theismann. That's all I'm saying.

Coming in from the West Coast! Glad to be here!
First post and just joined this forum. I cannot help but think that this was a magical season! NFC East Champs, Sweep Dallas, Knock off Giants! I, along with the rest of Redskin nation held my breath when Griff went down. After watching it a few times, (my medical experience goes about as far as bandaging up my kids' boo boo's) I think Griffin will be fine. I get tired of hearing Radio sports talk hosts talk about all the Negative (remember, I'm on the west coast so I hear all neg. about it.) The progression of this team was far better than my expectation. Looking forward to the next season. Skins4ever!! |

Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread
I sat in the corner yesterday in the dream seats on the end zone where we scored both of our touchdowns. My takes from the game were:
-Pulling RGIII is a decision that will be graded by the win or loss. Shanny pulls Griff and we hold on for the win, he's a genius. We lose after taking him out up 14 points and he'd be slaughtered. So I really believe there is no right answer with that decision. -The seahawks defense is the most degenerate dirty unit I have ever seen. After the second touchdown, stepping on Griffin's foot was pitiful. They're cheaters both on and off the field, and I went from a huge fan of that team to a large enemy. -Not having Orakpo hurt us more yesterday than most days. After the first quarter, we stopped getting to Wilson, and another big athletic OLB putting some pressure on him would have been helpful. -Wasnt very pleased by the game plan. Too many cute throws, and too many passes on first down were not good decisions, especially when your quarterback is clearly far from his normal self. Needed more ground and pound outta AlfMo. -Overall, I am beyond pleased with this season. I said going in that we were somewhere between 7-9 wins this season and we went above that. This team is young, talented, and full of heart. Cant wait until training camp! |

Re: Seahawks 24 Skins 14 post game thread
Too much bashing of the decision to play him.
While Griffin did not look 100% against Dallas last week, he still played well and led us to a big victory. After another week, who actually predicted his knee would be worse? 4 weeks after the injury that we were told would take 2 weeks to heal, it should have been better, right? When the game started, he did look about the same as in the Dallas game, but I didn't see the injury coming. When we went up 14-0, it looked like a great decision to play RGIII. In fact, because of the Dallas game, the thought of benching him didn't even cross my mind. Another week removed from the initial injury, I expected him to be even better than last week, possibly near 100% except for any hindrance from the bulky brace. Seattle did play dirty. They seemed intent on cheap shots, late hits and injuring RGIII. They succeeded. You're a liar if you saw this coming. He not only survived the Dallas game last week, he led us to victory. Unfortunate ending to an amazing season, but I do not blame the , doctor, coach or the player for this injury. He looked ready to play and the first quarter just solidified that. He was our best chance to win. We had a lead after 3 quarters and couldn't stop Lynch when it mattered most. Great season. Heal up and do it all over again, Robert.
