Hope he makes this team.
He sounds pretty close to a lock at this point, doubt they would want to risk putting him on the PS.

I would like Mike Wise to take a knee and stop writing drivel about the Skins.

He would if you all would stop reading his shit. More clicks to his garbage means more garbage he's going to put out. Simple supply and demand and you all are creating the demand.

TL: DR- stop clicking

the clincher for me turning the dial was when he said "i know a lot of redskins fans think he is going to be great a addition but i just dont see it working out that way .... given my track record and perspective, im right everytime"

turned the dial, came back 15 mins later and he was still repeating his opinion of desean ad nauseum, saying he is just giving an honest and realistic opinion that is based on logic and reason ....

to declare his contrarian opinion has been proven correct before desean has even taken a snap is unreal.
To me it's a good move because we didn't give up any draft picks, it serves a need and we take away one of the Eagles best players. Had this been a few years ago, the Redskins would've given up picks and given out a bad contract.

There's chance that this blows up in their faces as Jackson will bitch when he doesn't get the ball, or if Griffin struggles. It will be interesting to be how this plays out. I believe there will be some bumps along the way.

With DJax and Garcon out, we should get to see Grant for an extended amount tomorrow. Excited about that.

He broke that dudes ankles. I've heard Gruden talk about this kid since OTA's, how well he runs his routes.

Gruden: Kory Lichtensteiger a pleasant surprise at center

Well, this is good to hear. Now he just needs to translate it to the games.

Apparently Gruden would like to see RG throw the ball away more often in practice, instead of scrambling. However RG took the Iverson approach and said he'll throw it away in games, but it's just practice, and he'd rather practice his scrambling drill. Like I said, still not a huge issue, but I'd really like to see and hear my 3rd year QB more open to what his head coach has to say.

Gruden and RG3 talk decision making, when to throw ball away | Comcast SportsNet Washington

Also mentioned it in the Boston Globe article linked in the post above:

■ RG3 did OK in the hurry-up offense, but refused to throw the ball away, which will be interesting to watch with him this year. He had a few nice scrambles to the outside and made some nice improvisational plays. He loves looking to Reed in the Red Zone.
This might put at ease:

Brady was doing the same thing continuing with the play even though he would of been sacked several times.

Re: Set it all aside -- Training Camp Begins

Listening to Pat Kerwin today who was there....I think. His eval was RG isn't there yet but has all the tools and will get there. Great attitude, skill sets, must be more accurate pocket passer...etc. O receiving corps will be potent. Morris more so, so plenty of top quality targets for Robert. D line and linebackers will get it done. D backfield suspect and have much to prove and Tom apparently picked them apart on a 2 minute drill. In his estimation, it may be the best thing that could have happened as a check and learning tool.....

Brady was continuing the play by looking down field and completing passes. A little different than continuing the play by using your legs, even though you aren't really supposed to be doing it, and the coach asked you to stop.

Like I said, very very small issue at this point, hopefully this is the last we hear of it.

The other thing the article points out was how the Pats are a completely different organization that has a winning tradition, and a proven system. And how they were running sprints while our guys were walking off the field.

I was there in Tues and mid practice the same kind of thing happened. It was about mid way through and the teams split to their separate fields. The Pats got together and started running 11 v 11 on both sides of the field, with helmets on. While on the other practice field every single redskin helmet was on the 50 in a neat row and all the players were scattered in position groups kind of half as walkin through some drills and talking.

Again not that it's the end of the world, but it really shows you just how far apart these two teams are as a franchise. Hopefully it gave our guys a good look at something to work for.

Cousins reminds me of Brady, maybe we should start him?

Re: Set it all aside -- Training Camp Begins

I saw that RG report. thing is.. Griffin is just not a pure pocket passer. everyone has to get over that. Better descision making will be evident when JJ Watt is rushing at him week one IMO hell be fine. A lot of people practice different than they play. It gives you a better meter to judge how close you can cut it and when you should have thrown away. I understand that mindset easily.

my question for the day is... DJax... the ankle. he needs time with RG I don't like this.

I like that we play Watt, Clowney, Cushing. and a solid rushing front 8 week one. gonna give us a great idea of what were gonna see all year.

If DJax just got cleated he should play, but if he turned that ankle at all I understand being cautious.

Re: Set it all aside -- Training Camp Begins

I would love to see DJax play, but on the other hand, I am all for our WR depth getting more playing time now. Especially, Grant and Robinson, just to see if Grant is real, and if Robinson learned anything. Even without Garcon and Djax, Griffin should be throwing to Roberts, Moss, Grant, and Reed for the series that the starters are in. We should be able to see some "shining moments".

I imagine Morris will get a few touches too.
