At the beginning of the year the media was questioning whether or not this was the end for Brady and what a mess their O line was. McDaniel had a hand in turning it around and getting some guys that are far from top tier into playing like a solid unit on their O line. I concede, it's always good to have a hall of famer taking the snaps. I think I did add one too many acronyms in my post. It is much better with "GM" left out. |

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
Dallas is winning because of their offensive line - period. Alfred Morris would probably be approaching a 1500 yard season behind that line with the offensive weapons we have.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
I wish Todd Bowles had not signed that big extension with the Cards. But I don't know if he would take this job.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
Yes, I do; but not Mike Shannahan. I mean someone who has enough experience as an NFL HC to manage the people above him as well as those under him but someone who just wants to coach football and who can work with a competent GM and professional personnel people. Needless to say, there would need to be changes in the FO, as well.
That someone would have been around long enough to be able to assemble one of the best coaching staffs in the league to help him get the job done. Also, he doesn't need to be HC for more than 5 years before he turns the team over to an outstanding young coach who he has groomed for the job, so his age is not important.

The season is lost so the Redskins wouldn't be upsetting the apple cart by starting now. Of course, I could be wrong about the timing because the NFL has more rules than the Federal Government.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
Its never hopeless but this organization doesn't have the ownership to allow the organization as a whole to succeed.
I'm amazed that the owner still cant understand what winning organizations and start doing that himself. All I can believe is that this organization is more interested in having alumni days, food drives, and merchandise sales than winning football because that's what I see when I look at it. |

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
it,s true are quarterback sitution is a mess and we need to find out if RG111 is the answer or not ,but we also need despartely a o-line like a RT,RG,and a C, could be the worst in the league ,allen better wake up and fix it or get rid of him to,if we do that and RG111 stinks still then get rid of him but i don,t think you can when you are running for your life on every play.....

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
IMO the follow staff changes should occur...
HC- Retained OC- Retained DC- Fired STC- Retained QB Coach- Hired OLB Coach- New DC's Choice ASTC- Retained DLC- New DC's Choice OLC- Fired AOLC - Fired WRC- Retained RBC- Retained DBC- Fired TEC Retained I would seek to hire Wade Phillips, Kirby Smart, or Jerry Gray. AJ Smith name VP-GM hires recruiting staff. Bruce Allen Retains president position. I believe RG3 deserves another shot here. It takes really 2 years to recover from a knee injury and he has all the tools, just needs to be coached up, confidence rebuilt.
