Wow - that's like "wishing" Darrell Green to the Cowboys...

What if Favre does come back, and just totally tanks it? It's unlikely but what if he just has a Cris Dishman-like fall? Wonder what the feeling will be then?
That's the most reasonable explanation for their behavior, but it still doesn't make sense. The upside of allowing Brett to come back greatly outweighs the downside IMO.

One of our local stations is doing that 32 teams in 32 days thing and one day this week they did the bears and had one of their reporters on the show. He said that LLoyd has looked very good in camp but did ? weather it would carry over into the season.

i don't think it's fair if the packers are allowed to give him 20 mill to NOT play, and have it NOT count on the salary cap.i don't care what kind of package they put it in,that's cheating the salary cap any angle you look at it.i can't see why more fans and players are' making this a big deal.just cause he may be the best qb ever does'nt mean the rules should be bent for him.

You will have NO problem getting plenty of people to debate that with.

Well almost anyone I talk to agree that he's in the top 5 and I think all of them can agree he's the toughest QB in modern era. I dont know about Marino, Young, Montana being overated though...

Re: Favre seeks release from Packers (updated)

If Farve takes this deal instead of coming back it would just be for money. I would lose all respect for him after he has talked so much about how he misses the game. He's going to get traded because the Packers are not going to let 7 million dollars sitting on the bench, No Way No How.

i saws the refs give all 3 so many calls over the years get sick thinking about it.i also hate the 49ers almost at the level i hate dallas, the giants, iggles,nd the cardinals.
i'd take favre over them any day.if i had a team with favre, art monk, john riggins, the hogs and lawrence taylor,i'd win 90% of the games i played.

I was in Milwaukee today, and for some reason, that visual got caught in my head.

Fun stuff.

I always wanted a team of Jordan and Barkley, with Ewing in the middle. Guaranteed championship!
