Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
I am just praying my Bruins hold on. I can't imagine four straight playoff losses to end the season, talk about misery!

Bruins with arguably the biggest choke job in the history of sports. Blow a 3-0 series lead, and then a 3-0 game 7 lead.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
A 7 and 8 seed out of the East. Then you have a 1 and 2 seed outta the West....? Hum, should be interesting.
I like the habs to beat down philly. And SJ to take care of the hawks. I think if the habs can keep this level of goal tending with halak, they take all the chips.

I'm rooting for the Sharks because they seem to be very similar to us. Extremely talented team that has struggled in the playoffs. I guess I like to think that it gives us hope, that we're not doomed to fail in the post season every year.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Blackhawks vs Canadiens. It will be a classic matchup between two of the oldest franchises in the NHL. San Jose is playing great hockey, but I think the Hawks can take them.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
the overtime goal was such a soft goal. damn. i understand the flyer goalie couldnt square up to kane since he had a sharp angle shot and the goalie had to square himself to the near goal post for a possible deflection or pass in front but damn buddy. why the heck did you have to try and drop your blocker side all the way down to the ice for a slow moving puck on the ice that was meant to be nothing more than a putting the puck on net and hoping for some kind deflection or rebound. if you had kept you stick balde flush to the ice you could have been a statue and made that save. it seems you were to worried aobut controling teh rebound vs making teh save first.
just a horrible way for philly to go out like that. congrats blackhawks. i always liked them as an orig 6 team.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Don't know if anyone else is following the AHL right now, but the Hershey Bears are one win away from another Calder Cup. They lost the first 2 games of the Finals at home, then took the next 3 on the road in Texas.
(they're about half an hour from me...my "local" team that I have gone to watch even before they were the Caps affiliate, back in the Colorado Avalanche days. This will be their 11th Cup. Games 6 and 7 will be in Hershey.
