Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Its been pretty quiet on the Carlos Rogers front.
I wonder if that means its more likely that we keep him.

Once Nnamdi, Cromartie and Clements are gone, there will be interest in Carlos. Does not mean he'll get what he's asking, but there will be interest.

Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Last I heard, Texans and Chiefs were also possible landing spots, but we have not been pursuing him like the rumors once said we would. No real news about him from any teams.

The page you were looking for is not here. Clearly, this is because you have damaged the inter-net. At great expense, we have placed the broken pieces in an archive so that you can mend the damage you caused.

He's going to either the Chiefs, Texans, or back to San Fran. We pretty much eliminated him when we signed Cofield

I wonder if the Raiders are still in the Nnamdi running...no one is reporting it but there's always the possibility.

More Ravens fans comment on our ex-Ravens FA signings
From the Baltimore Sun. You've gotta love reading the Redskins hating comments of Ravens fans, as follows:
Looks like the Skins are signing all our dreck. Posted by: brontothunder | July 28, 2011 5:34 PM to Wash Dc team, We have a few rusty tackling dummies. a few ex seats available, see single game tiks you guys know hopw to fan the fuel good luck with chester, the very light guard with less than desired strength nice overpay danny boy Posted by: Ted | July 28, 2011 5:35 PM Washington Redskins Front Office Playbook (secret!) 1) target the most expensive free agent each off-season. Disregard any concerns about character- if they are very expensive they must be good! 2) when assessing veteran free agents, don't settle for a 30 year old with a mere 5 pro bowl appearances. Target 35 year-old players with at least ten years of pro bowl caliber play under their belts. With that track record- they are sure bets! 3) finally, in lieu of the exhaustive work of scouting players from every other NFL team, sign any player that can be poached from the Ravens to an above-market contract. Because let's be honest- they know a lot more about talent acquisition and development than the redskins do! Posted by: Andrew | July 28, 2011 5:36 PM The Redskins sure do love picking up our sloppy seconds, don't they? You would think they would realize that most ex-Ravens' players don't do well once they leave this organization. But, Dan Snyder has never been one to make good decisions. Posted by: Nor | July 28, 2011 5:57 PM The Redskins are becoming to the Ravens as the Chicago Cubs are to the Orioles. We are commanded by God to send all of our free agents and rejects to Washington, where they can spend a year in total misery before moving on to a real team. And other than Josh Wilson, whom we should have kept, they can have all the ones we've sent them. Posted by: Fang | July 28, 2011 6:24 PM again, what the eff is with the Redskins grabbing up every Raven they can? They just hope to replace their team with ours and see if they can win a game for once? Posted by: ct | July 28, 2011 6:50 PM Hope the money is good Chris, you just sold your soul to the devil. You've seen your last playoff game. Posted by: rvnmaniak | July 28, 2011 9:59 PM |

Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Wow, Andrew is a complete moron. We have done exactly the OPPOSITE of everything he said.
The others thinking Snyder is calling the shots...obviously not real football fans who actually pay attention. Then again, they're just parroting the idiots in the media, like Cowturd (heard him bashing the Skins yet again yesterday on a "commercial" for his show that I do not listen to).

I had to laugh at Ted's comment that "we have a few rusty tackling dummies".
I think Bruce Allen ought to look into acquiring those tackling dummies from the Ravens. They have playoff experience and we might be able to pick them up cheap. |

Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
The hate emanating from many Baltimore fans for the Skins always amazes me. I remember lying in a hospital bed the day after major surgery doped to the gills, watching a Skins game and having the male nurse tell me what bad team they were, how I was dumb to root for them and live in Baltimore, and how all Baltimore hated them (I was cognizant enough to nonchalantly reply in my normal fashion - "Really, we Skins fans really just don't care about Ravens. I hope they do well").
