Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
I am sure people would have been crucifying the FO if they gave Rogers the money he wanted.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
Maybe this is wrong to say, but I really don't see the personnel being the issue here. Wilson, Hall and Golmes I think should all be good enough to not be shredded like it has been going.
It seems like scheme wise, they are calling the game like they have elite corners. The 73 yard pass was no no safety help, the one on Wilson was the same, and then the long pass on Crawford had a safety, but they went to a different direction. They are crowding the line, blitzing a bunch of people and leaving everyone one on one, but the rush isn't getting there. It is a recipe for disaster because the scheme is creating a situation where the front end can't do their job and the back end isn't talented enough to pull it off. |

Yeah, I mean whoever, But you're putting RG3 out there to get pounded all day long and he's making plays with his arms and feet repeatedly but then 4th and 1 and you don't give him the opportunity, you punt? Even last week go for it on 4th and 18. Why send Cundiff out there? We didn't wait two years and give up all those picks to have RG3 on the sidelines when it matters, not in my opinion.

It will forever pain me to know that the money that went to Haynesworthless was meant to go for Sean Taylor's contract renewal had he not passed.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
Yeah, but more importantly he wanted to get paid. There are some who believe that he purposely asked for a lot knowing the Redskins wouldn't offer it and then he moved on. But he took that same asking price, can't recall the exact figures, elsewhere.

Still, I do think we need talent in the secondary.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
Oh i completely agree. I just feel like the secondary is average, but what we have seen is comparable to the Patriots last year when they had nothing but rookies back there.

Now the defense is just not very good all the time. So glad we fixed that problem.

Landry did absolutely nothing in his time here beyond a half of a season to warrant any type of extension. His entire time here, he couldn't even manage ONE god damn lousy Pro-Bowl, and they'll invite anybody to one of those. NOT ONE. The past two years he's ignored the advice of one of the world's top orthopedic surgeons because he's scared of the knife. Do you really think his coverage ability would have done jack shit today? Nope. He's another that got paid top dollar as a high round draft pick and NEVER lived up to his draft status. He's also one failed drug test away from being suspended. Rogers? While he was consistent and steady, he didn't want to put in the hard work or get his eyes checked to help him achieve that extension. All he did was bitch and complain about his salary, yet kept dropping INT after INT, which NO DOUBT cost us a few games all in itself. His last year, he was cleared to play by docs but still sat out because he didn't want to hurt himself in a contract year. Guess what? Rogers was so desired by the league that he was basically the LAST ****ing DB signed in FA and it took forever for a team to finally bite on him. Even then, he had to swallow his pride and take a 1 year deal. ONE YEAR DEAL. Does that tell you anything? It tells me a lot. THEN, he decides if he wants that big payday, he better go get those contacts and actually start catching the ball. Funny how he manage to catch INTs when his sorry ass in a one year deal, but couldn't do it when he was being paid top dollar. I imagine we'll see Carlos going back to being himself now that he got a contract extension in the off-season. Look, those 2 clowns didn't want to do what it took to be a baller while they were here, and only when they are in 1 year deals do they realize they need to get their act together to in order to secure another pay day. **** those assholes and I'm glad they are no longer part of this team. It's guys like them that brought our culture down to what it was. (aka...getting paid to not do anything)

I think Crawford and gomes will be good players, they're just young. Griffin, Williams, Hall, and butler are what they are. A bad secondary. We havent been good up front either but because Bowen and cofield have done fine, our weaknesses up front get glossed over a lot.

Kerrigan is like rak, they both always just get close but no sacks. I'll say our run d is pretty good but obviously teams won't be running much on us
