I liked what I saw from Amerson. He should've had a pick. He'll make that play most of the time. But he also was coming up in run support with some attitude. He looks like he belongs out there already.

I've really never been impresssed with Locker. Great athlete but he doesn't look like a polished QB. Notcie how long the coaches left him out there? He was still playing well into the 2nd q. Never see that for a starting QB in his 1st pre season game.

Both Rak and Fletcher were way out of position. Run D was pretty bad last night. Actually, it was also bad against Seattle in the playoff game as well. Could be a problem this year.

Amerson definitely impressed.

Um, yea your right about the scrubs.

But keep in mind our base offense is not what Rex had when he first came to the Skins. and he looked horrid rolling out getting sacked or trying to throw the ball away.

Heck even my 16 y/o thought Rex looked horrible and even pointed out how bad the throws were. At one point he said "I can throw a better spiral then that".

Rex needs to go. Assistant coach maybe, player he is not anymore.

Yeah, but Rambo is supposed to be the last man standing, but Orakpo failed to contain. He took too wide a angle on that play.

What I noticed.... the Titans had a hard time running up the middle and basically ran outside most of the night.

Interesting how I see it completely different.

If they need an Asst coach then make him an assistant coach. Rex can't run, can't throw, and made bad decisions last night against second stringers.

PW showed he understood how the system works, he can roll out and get away from the DE or LB, he can actually throw into traffic and get the WR the ball, and did I mention the biggest issue is he has mobility? Rex has none. Zippie.

Oh and his balls had a nice spiral to them unlike Rex's duck wobble throws. Rex is starting to remind me of McNabb with his duck wobble balls and dirt balls.

However, I'd keep him as the 3rd QB for the value he brings in practice preparing for Vick twice a year and other mobile QBs. Romo (to an extent), Rodgers (of course won't come close to AR's arm/accuracy), Kap at SF. If we make the playoffs, we'll likely run into SEA along the way.

If Rex is truly valuable as a Coach, make him one.
and... if Rex makes the team... we are done before we start.

Re: Redskins @ Titans Thread

It was the 1st preseason game, try not to get caught up with what you saw, good or bad.

Rex got no help from the Oline, and I didnt think it was that bad. It was 3rd string QBing...what do you expect?

Cousins said in an interview, Rex has had a huge impact in his development and alot of his early success is directly attributed to Rex being there and showing both him and RG3 Kyle's system and how to carry themself.

Need people like that on the roster.

So the Skins shouldn't start Pat White?

White was running pretty basic stuff. Against 4th stringers. And let's not even get started on his delivery, which is one of the slowest I've seen.

Rex was throwing balls away or up for grabs to avoid taking any big shots in the pocket.

Again, it's the preseason.
