Re: Around the NFL Div. Round Playoffs

I guess fans everywhere think now when there's an injury a team is just trying to stop the clock

Yeah this pisses me off each time the home fans boo especially with how often it winds up being a legit injury.

Seriously! Most fans have no idea what is going on. Amateur hour by the fans on that play.

@AlbertBreer

You get the increasing feeling, talking to people around the league, that the Browns job is seen as radioactive. Tough spot for them.

I'm still bewildered how the league allowed that criminal to stay the owner of the Browns. I suppose most of them got rich swindling others to begin with so it's a good ole boy system.

The Browns' dysfunction makes us look like the perfect team.

This is even worse.

@RapSheet

Other problems: Candidates have been calling Rob Chudzinski, who I’m told has been honest. Tough to lure candidates after one-and-done

Wow. Guess Chud gets the last laugh after all. No wonder McDaniels and others have said..."no thanks"

Browns candidates have called Rob Chudzinski - NFL.com

I agree. Hopefully RG3 reaches that level where not winning the super bowl is a disappointment.

Re: Around the NFL Div. Round Playoffs

Another game decided by the offensive line and defensive lines. Manning had a good game but the running game and physicality of the offensive line was the difference.

Like Bill O'brien said, The team that usually wins is the team that can run the ball when they have to, and stop the run when they need to.

Even I feel bad for the Browns and I'm a freaking Lions fan, lol.

I feel they're going for Johnny Manziel in the draft. It's either going to be a spectacularly brilliant move or blow up in their faces. I'm leaning towards the latter as it IS the Browns.

Re: Around the NFL Div. Round Playoffs

The one and done issue is more of a problem than a coach contacting the coach who just got fired.

I feel like a lot of coaches do that due to the "fraternity" of coaches and probably just want information on the organization or what they did (so they can do the opposite). I guarantee some coaches called Mike to get his opinion on the Washington Redskins Organization. Most people don't have nice, unbiased things to say about an organization if they just got fired by them, so I am not sure how much stock candidates are putting into Chudzinski's opinion.

Now the one and done firing would be a bigger flag to me. And how that organization has been run the past decade or two.

Yeah I agree, it's the one and done that is the problem. It was ridiculous to fire him after one year, especially since IMHO the Browns are a franchise QB away from being quite good.

After watching Newton and Kapernick its obvious that RG has a lot of developing to do at QB before he plays at their level.
