Robinson can also make plays I think Moss will be a training camp cut.

With that said might I suggest that Desean holdout for a bit? Portis agrees to pay Ohalete $18K - NFL - ESPN

Hope Aldrick's the odd man out. I think Hank has more upside and well, I just love Santana.

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson
Redskins still get hammered for our free agent signings over the past years . Yes we signed the following bust free agents over the years.
1. Albert Haynesworth 2. Adam Archaletta ( spelling in correct ) 3. Deon Sanders 4. Jeramiah Trotter ( Eagles) 5. Dana Stubblefield 6. Dan Big Daddy Wilkerson ( Bengals) 7. Jeff George Let's look at some free agents that worked out. 1. London Fletcher 2. Wilber Marshall ( Bears 1985 team) 3. Ken Harvey ( Cardinals LB) 4. Terry Allen ( Vikings RB) 5. Brad Johnson ( Vikings /Bucs QB) 6. Santana Moss 7. Randy Thomas ( Jets RG) 8. Pierre Garçon I'm tired of people talking about how we pick bad free agents over the years. I think every team makes some bad decisions and gambles that it will payoff . I like our new regime . HTTR

I think its more the kings ransom we gave up for those guys in the form of money and more importantly draft picks that made us a laughing stock. To be fair about it we deserve every bit of laughter we got. There are two things that are so beautiful about this move though - his skills, and the cost. |

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson
So Aldrick, Santanna, Hank... Wonder who stays and who goes.
I would say we keep six guys (all this could change barring injury), but I also see someone other than one of these three taking a spot at wr.

Aldrick I'd argue is kind of redundant now as up to this point he was our poor mans Desean Jackson. However he's been having problems for a while now with inconsistency and while Jackson is capable of running a full route tree Robinson seems to be limited to go routes off play action. Of course you could also reframe it as giving Robinson a chance to learn from a pro bowler with a similar skill set so we'll see how that turns out. I think the coaches want to give Hankerson every chance to make the roster and be a major contributor and might even want to have him compete with Andre Roberts but at this point his saving grace will probably be the lack of size among our receiving corps. Even more so when you consider how fond Gruden was in Cinci of bigger receivers, even outside of AJ Green. Of course these days its not uncommon for coaches to favor the guys who do best in practice over the 'sexier' names among fans. James Thrash back in the day being the quintessential example.

Re: Redskins Sign DeSean Jackson
I would keep Robinson over Moss and Hankerson. Robinson came from SMU he had learn to run pro routes . He has the speed and he can run after catch. Hankerson is injury prone thus far. I wonder if Gettis a WR we signed from the Panthers is fully healthy now. He played at Baylor and he has the size at 6-3 215 in the red zone. He might surprise if he can play special teams .
