True, but the start of football means the end of summer, so it's a little bittersweet. But hey, if summer is over the next best distraction is football!

It may be bittersweet for you, but for me the end of 100+ degree high humidity days plus the start of football season equals the best time of year.

This is definitely whiny of me, but I'd take a few 90-100 degree days before summer is out. We had maybe 2 weeks of good swimming weather and now it's cloudy and barely breaks 80 all day. Hardly any rain, just clouds. Our nephew described this weather as "poopy" outside.

Jay Gruden on Jordan Reed: Should be 'full go Thursday' | Comcast SportsNet Washington

Hopefully DJax, Garcon, and Reed play against Cleveland so we can get a little better look at our first team offense. And, of course, get our first look at Reed in game action.

Re: Set it all aside -- Training Camp Begins

RG3 is smart, very athletic, has a strong accurate arm, and is one of the hardest-working, most driven players on the team. Hard to see a scenario where he isn't eventually one of the top QBs and playmakers in the league. Even last year amid the sh*t show that was our team, he made big play after big play.

If you're getting discouraged, check out this highlight video of the supposedly horrible 2013 RG.

I for one love RG3 and am truly grateful we have such a great athlete and even better person leading our team. Hail to the Redskins!

RGIII threw 4 passes in the first preseason game, yet we have such keen observers here that they can project his 2014 season from that.

Re: Set it all aside -- Training Camp Begins

Looking forward to seeing us play the Browns next Monday night on ESPN. The Browns have a decent defense should be a good test for the offense. I hope we get to see Garçon and D-Jax playing opposites in this game for a few snaps. I want to see more of Lache and Silas Redd. Also we need to keep a eye on the o-line to see how the pass pro looks against a good defense. Biggest thing is let's stay healthy . HTTR

Aldricks not my favorite WR on this team that's for sure. When its showtime he gets sketchy. Had that huuuge drop on RG last year and a few other. Didn't show great balance and awareness on that preseason play. Its a shame because he runs a good route and has that raw speed his hands are sketchy imo though.

I just want the real games to start. Already tired of all the pre season talk.

Me in early to mid 2000's - OMFG Preseason games, OTA's, minicamp. Extremely Imports must analyze all things down to battles for 3rd and 4th string spots.

Me now - Rex Grossman signs with Browns? When did we cut Grossman?

I'm starting to think preseason fatigue has started to set in for me.

The Guru to the Road Graders «

Really interesting story, but the reason I posted this here is b/c of the last section. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Asked who he still wants to work with, Bentley says he just got him: Trent Williams, Washington’s left tackle and one of the elite offensive linemen in football, had made his first trip to the facility a few weeks earlier. This is Bentley’s next challenge; he can make a backup a starter and a starter a Pro Bowler. Now, he gets to find out what he can do with the best.
