How dumb is that? I saw that too. People need to get a life, he's a young kid that just made it to the NFL, let him live

Re: Dwayne Haskins

Better he buys a Bentley than a Ferrari that goes over 200 mph and 0-100 in 6 seconds.

I don't think fired up is the right word.

I think folks are trying to read the tea leaves and figure out the person as much as the player.

I think the biggest worry is he is too focused on his brand, which was embroidered on the seats of the Bentley.

Nobody has a clue if it is or will be a problem.

With "All in for week one" and "Merry Kirkmas" in the not so distant past it's completely fair to discuss.

Concluding at this point it is a big deal or isn't a big deal is premature.

Haskins may deserve the benefit of the doubt with fans, but with the recent history, he isn't going to get it.

It would not surprise me if Chris Russell is somehow involved in spreading this drama.

It was EB making a big deal out of it. Those guys are borderline Kardashians.

I personally don't give a shit what he buys. It's his $ and he earned it. What makes it a story is apparently he put it on one his social media pages. We're still in the honeymoon phase but IMO not the smartest thing to do. If you buy a 300k car then good for you, but keep it to yourself.

Yeah but if you were a 21-22 Year old , when you buy a Bentley the natural thing to do is show it off. People are just jealous that he can afford such car.

Yeah anyone buying a car like that wants everyone to know, part of selling his brand too.

Re: Dwayne Haskins

I think Haskins buying a Bentley is just a non story. Who cares? Twitter sucks

I'm focused more on rookie OTAs where he looked good. I think he exceeded expectations with throwing the ball as well as working within the team environment...ie team mate interaction, taking coaching, etc.

Re: Dwayne Haskins

Some QBs save their money, others spend it. I know of no study that correlates spending habits to success in the NFL as a QB. It's a non story.

People liked the idea of Cousins sleeping in his in-laws' basement and driving the converted van. They liked Alfred Morris and his beat ass Datsun or whatever he was driving. Reality is more players have flashy cars than go the route of Cousins and Alfmo, but you don't hear about them because they're not quarterbacks.

Call them haters or call them uneducated idiots, just don't pay them any mind.

Is discussing a QB starting a personal branding company before he throws the first pass out of bounds?

I never understood branding, and people being attracted to a name. Well before it was popular for athletes to brand items LA Gear was very popular with people who were always following the latest trends. I burned through shoes running on trails and playing pick up basketball. I tried lots of brands at the time finding New Balance and Brooks to have the best combination of comfort and durability. One time I decided to try on some LA Gear to see what the rage was about. I swear it felt like walking around with boards tied to my feet, they had no cushion at all, hard as rocks. Worse yet I remember them costing $150 when my shoes at the time were $75. I understand being attached to a brand if it represents a quality product, but not when it is expensive because of just a name.
