They view Samuel as a better JDM apparently

Great as long as stays healthy. That certainly wasn't the case in 2021.

and Smallwood seems to be a receiving back with quick twitch. Not at the McKissic numbers but Mckissic didnt have Mckissic numbers until he came here and was utilizied.

I think Smallwood can replicate what Mckissic and Chris Thompson did for us in the past.

its a numbers game for pass catching quick backs. target Smallwood 80 times in a season with high pct short passes and hell catch 70 of them and turn up the field.

I thought we wanted him back too, of course it is not formalised until tomorrow so it could change. Maybe playing for a genuine contender was more attractive to him and if so going to be an up hill climb for Ron to move this team forward. Have to rely on the draft but we need to aquire more picks for that plan

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Offseason edition

Posted this in another thread (it seems we have at least 3 threads on FA -- it's a bit confusing). But anyway:

JDM's deal is 2 years and $7 million. For the kind of production he's provided, that is worth it. Wish we'd have done something like it. Even coming off the injury, I think he would have been worth that risk. In 2 years (and 27 games), he racked up over 1500 yds receiving and 7 TDs. He was essentially responsible for the wins v. ATL and NYG (1st one) last year. I read a report that said we didn't even make him an offer. Bah

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Offseason edition

Ravens signed RT Morgan Moses, formerly of the Jets, to a three-year, $15 million contract.

With Ali Villanueva retiring and Ronnie Stanley appearing in just seven games over the past two years, Baltimore was desperate for a safe option at tackle this offseason. They found one of the most stable players at the position with Moses. He has started 16 games in every season dating back to 2015 and consistently grades as an above-average tackle, per Pro Football Focus.

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Offseason edition

Re-Sign Rodgers then trade Davante Adams???

What the fuck?

Blockbuster: Packers are trading Pro-Bowl WR Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders for two prime 2022 picks, league sources tell ESPN.

Re: Around the NFL 2022: Offseason edition

Maybe with a draft rich with WR's and signing AR to that contract, they decided Adams was going to be too expensive. I can easily see the Packers drafting 2 top WR's.
