When have I said I hated the Skins ,NEVER!Don't let facts stand in your way.As far as Eli is concerned ...............how many other QBs make over the 100 million mark but as I say that I'll say you just made my point also, tell me If you were a super bowl MVP and a D lineman comes in who hasn't won anything and he gets 100 mill ,should'nt the QB?

Eli Manning, New York Giants, NFL - CBSSports.com Football

Contract coming for Eli Manning?: A number of media outlets in New York reported recently that the Giants and QB Eli Manning are close to a new contract worth well over $100 million. However, the Newark Star-Ledger was the latest to report that a deal between both sides is not imminent. Manning is scheduled to be a free agent after the 2009 season.

I'm sure it will be in the 130-140Mil range. Shit, between Eli and Payton they could mom and dad a couple of houses.

Re: Albert Haynesworth is a Redskin!!!!

I voted love it , worth money for the simple fact that the Redskin FO has seemed to have figured out the current salary cap structure. The salary cap doesn't seemed to big as big of factor as one would think.

Haynesworth to Start Work Monday

Jason Reid reports:

New Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth -- the NFL's highest-paid defensive player -- plans to participate in the team's offseason conditioning program beginning Monday at Redskins Park, his agent said today.

Haynesworth, who lives year-round at his homes in Nashville and Knoxville, Tenn., is eager to begin the next chapter of his career, said his representative, Chad Speck. The Redskins lured Haynesworth from Tennessee with a seven-year, $100-million contract that could be worth as much as $115 million based on his performance.

The package includes a NFL record $41 million in guaranteed money, and Haynesworth is assured of receiving $32 million in the first 13 months of the contract.

It is important to owner Daniel Snyder and Vinny Cerrato, Washington's executive vice president of football operations, to have the team's high-profile players involved in the program at the complex to build "team chemistry," Cerrato said recently. The Redskins released Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor because he balked at Snyder's request to have a workout clause added to his contract. Haynesworth and cornerback DeAngelo Hall, who re-signed with the team minutes before the free agent market opened, have workout clauses in their contracts, Cerrato said.

Good for him, I'm glad he's starting things with the Redskins on the right foot.

Re: Albert Haynesworth is a Redskin!!!!

It looks like almost all of the WP is going to be eating a lot of crow in this thread. Can anyone go back and find a post in here where they said AH was a bad investment? Its time for you to be applauded for sound judgement.

Honestly though this had disaster written all over it. Never ever give a bad character guy big money.

Page 13 of this thread.

"Don't want Haynesworth at all. I think it would be a huge mistake."

In that quote I am pointing out that I had in fact predicted that AH would be a Redskin and that was several days before we actually did sign him.

Thumbs up for wilsowilso.

Then again I did start a thread calling Jim Zorn a great coach before the start of last season.

Then again I did say Brady Quinn was going to be a flat out bust before he was drafted.

Then again I did start the "Tom the Iceman Brady" thread many years ago in which I stated that guy is the best football player I have ever seen. Period. I still like my argument on that one.

What are we talking about again?

Oh yeah that POS overgrown toddler. What a total joke that clown is.

Called it.
