Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Really doesn't surprise me to be honest, guy is a beast in the bottom of the 9th, you ask for the homer and most of the time you get it. He's already had two or three this season I think.

Wow, 8 out of 10 for the Os.
They're supposed to be wearing these throwbacks tonight:

Love how Strasburg said, "If he doesn't want to be here, we don't want him here" in reference to Harper. Dude showing the role of a leader, even though we all know this team is Ryan Zimmermans.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
i love how its OK for Strasburg to hold the Nationals hostage last season for a ridiculous amount of money. but if someone else tries it......

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Actually, Strasburg's agent wanted him to get much more and told him not to sign, but Strasburg said he wanted to play and signed the contract. So if anything, he was a good sport. He's well worth the money too, he's averaging just about 7K's a game.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
It'll be easy to love him as long as he doesn't embarress the franchise. I'm hoping we have the right guys in place to kind of keep him in line, if he pans out things will only get better for us.

Well, love him or hate him, he's in the fold for $9.9M.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
We'll see what happens as far as performance, obviously we wont be seeing him anytime soon, but I'm glad to see we got it done.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
It's hard not to be excited about the coming years for this team. They are accumulating a boatload of good young talent and if they can keep it on track they could be a really good team in 3 years. So many plus pieces in the pipeline. Gotta hand it to Rizzo, Kasten and Lerner. They go after talent and pay for it. Hopefully it works out.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
I am going to reserve judgment on the kid because he's 17 and, based on what teammates say, he is a good guy. The stories everyone knows about are all told about how he reacted to bad situations that he was put into. Now he'll be in the pros where he won't have opposing teams taking pot-shots at him in warm-ups and umpires ready to boot him for responding to relentless heckling. Maybe he is a dickhead...or maybe he is just a kid. If he spends enough time in the minors he'll have a little of his ego chipped away.

I just want to know if he'll still paint his face black in the Majors.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
sweet pics buster. thanks for posting.
i heard a former mlb player say that when he gets to the majors he wont wear the black masquera. that his teammates will tell him it is bush league. i personally dont see the big deal with a lil extra black but baseball has its own rules.
