It depends on how you feel about losses at the beginning of the season vs. the end. Which defines your team more how you start or finish. I think Tech is a good team...i dont think they are a top 5 team, they dont have the defense to be considered that high. Anywhere between 6-15 I think you could make an arguement for...being in the ACC doesnt help their case.

I know how I feel about Auburn vs Oregon. Auburn is playing the best football in the country, SEC wins the championship again, Cam is too good and the best player in the country period. But go ahead and get an * ready for the history books.

Kinda sucks if it is due to health reasons. Seems way too uptight and pissed off all the time, hopefully he can get straight, relax and come back. bit of an egomanic, but effing great coach...like to see him back soon

The Denver Broncos need a coach, Tim Tebow needs someone who believes in him, Urban Meyer needs a team. Brilliant!

I think the college level is more stressful when you factor in recuirting and traveling around the country trying to get players, just a guess on my part.

maybe if you ok with preforming like Spurrier did with the Skins. Where does he have to travel too for recruiting? Good lord he is centrally located in the best recruiting area in the country. The state of Florida is the mecca of talent, thats why .500 or below from any of the big 3 in that state is complete fail. That program was long built b4 he got there, he can pull top 5 recruits from any state without traveling as well just based on the tradition of that school over the last twenty years.

Here is the story that sparked my comment.

Do I hear a case for 25 games? Imagine all the media coverage! "Coach dies mid-season!" The tickets practically sell themselves.

Well the players union keeps telling me to compromise shortly after their usual GFYS comments but when I see all the potential money we can make I can't help but see Dollar $ign$! You know what, I feel inspired 41 games! People will be curious, like 'why aren't they using an even number.' And with the added buzz we can charge more for ads.

Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***

The last time that he took a break it was because of health reasons. No one knows why he left this time yet. If it is for health reasons the the timing could not be more messed up. 2 Days after Josh McDaniels was fired...seriously? Why not wait until after the bowl season or until the Broncos had filled their position? He cannot be doing much right now the season is over.

Any chance that Spurrier dumps the Cocks and goes back to Florida? I understand if he doesn't want to rub the Cocks the wrong way, but wouldn't Meyers's absence make his interest rise a little?

I doubt that happens. Spurrier is pushing 70 years old. I have full confidence in Jeremy Foley. I think he's close to, if not the best Athletic Director in the country. He'll get a solid, younger replacement (my fingers are crossed for Dan Mullen).

I'd also be happy with Bo Pelini or Jim Harbaugh, or even Chris Peterson if he ever leaves Boise State. I also wonder if Gary Patterson would consider leaving TCU....
