This team was doomed on the field regardless of Reid's tragedy though.

i dont know, certainly didnt help. I expected to Eagles and Fans to rally around the team...I never really saw that. They acted like they couldnt wait to crush him especially after last season.

I know one thing, that defense got no heart and no character to be paid like that and then play like that on the field. It was NEVER Juan Castillo fault.

While i would like Reid coaching elsewhere for the same reason, i'm scared of who will replace him in Philly. Seems like a perfect situation for Gruden, and I dont know if i want to play one of his teams twice a year every year. He's never had talent before like he'd have in Philly. It could be scary.

Yeah, I'm worried Gruden or Cowher will land in Philly or Dallas.

Gotta feeling Andy goes to San Diego. Gruden not coming to Philly. Philly is about to go through some serious roster cutting moves and looks like they might be hurtin for a little while, especially with those QB, Secondary, and Oline issues.

These names mentioned strike fear into mortal men.... I was begging for Cower or Gruden to come to DC before Shanaplan.

KC could be a landing spot for any of these 3 coaches after the dismal season they are having

Really doubt Cowher goes anywhere

I don't see Gruden in Philly

Last I heard Holmgren's basically begging for the Cowboys job if it becomes available

Yeah Holmgren said he missed coaching. Wouldnt want to see him in Dallas for sure. I think it could be 50/50, Garretts gonna have to finish strong.

I heard something about Andy Reid wanting to coach in Dallas. I could be wrong about that.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style

The Eagles are a hot mess. Personally I have felt that all 3 division rivals are on the downward spiral, although the Giants keep fooling me. I see Dallas firing Garrett and getting rid of Romo and I see the Eagles parting ways with Reid. I think Reid's sons death didn't help the situation. I believe there were just a bunch of bad decisions made by the team/Reid over the last few yrs that have put them in the situation they are in now. Injuries? I sit back and think of the Redskins and want to start the list of names that a radio announcer jokingly said they probably could field another team with just the players that have been put on IR this year, so I don't buy the injury issue with the Eagles.

I like Reid and think he will get another chance as long as he "reboots" and starts over somewhere else and don't bring his current coaching staff along with him. Complete start over. Start with the basics, and get back to the plays that made him a great coach and stop trying to come up with some trick play or tweek off of those great plays he had.

Now who goes where?

Eagles- Gruden (perfect for him to start fresh and put his stamp on a team)
Cowboys- Holmgren (or so I believe. JJ and Holmgren had a nice meeting I bet)
Chargers- ?
KC- ?

Norv? lol. I could see him getting picked up by someone as their OC. He's awesome in that position even though he sucks as a HC.

Eagles- Gruden = Please no. I don't wanna face Gruden twice a year. Also I think Chucky is enjoying the fat check he is getting right now with 0 stress.

Cowboys- Holmgren = Eeek! I also would hate to face him twice a year.

Chargers & KC - Could be a good spot for Reid to plop down and rebuild both could use it.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style

Holmgren in Dallas really doesn't bother me. Maybe they have some brief limited success but I just don't see him and Jerry working it out for more than a couple years.
On top of that, Holmgren only had great success in GB and then only for 4 years. His time in Seattle was pretty mediocre but for the one SB season.
