Yep! Throw in the towel now. Seasons done. They're goes our backup rookie 4th round safety.

Re: Redskins @ Titans Thread

I thought the rookies played as expected, especially for the first preseason game which is nothing more than a glorified scrimmage... No game planning involved, basic schemes, etc. It's a learning experience and something to build on.

I liked what I saw from Amerson. He should've had a pick. He'll make that play most of the time. But he also was coming up in run support with some attitude. He looks like he belongs out there already.

Amerson definitely impressed.

It was the 1st preseason game, try not to get caught up with what you saw, good or bad.

So the Skins shouldn't start Pat White?

First thing I'm doing in Madden is trading Griffin and Cousins. It's all about Pat White.

All were talking about is who takes the 3rd QB spot. Personally I'd rather have PW who is younger, healthier, throws decent spirals, and can thread the needle as he did several times.

Yes even though it was against 4th stringers. He atleast has up side and mobility. Rex is not going to get any better, Rex is not going to all of a sudden become mobile.

He was never mobile under the basic offense 4 yrs ago and still is not mobile. Plus he makes stupid decisions.

Re: Redskins @ Titans Thread

We might as well debate who the backup long snapper should be. That would probably be a more productive discussion.

Barring injury White isn't making the team, sorry.

The only positives I can say about pat white are:

He's better than tebow

He's more athletic than grossman

He could be interesting to have or bring back to use in a package with him and RG3 on the field lined up next to each other

Other than that its not worth having him over a guy like Chris Thompson of Chase Minnifield for an extra tackle (offensive or defensive )

This is an Excellent point.

My only concern is with all the talk of eventually trading Cousins, why not have someone groomed to replace our #2 on our practice squad...perhaps it is someone that will be cut.

I don't think Cousins is going anywhere for a while. RG3 has had two major knee surgeries in four years. It would be stupid to trade him and I don't think Shanahan and Allen are stupid.

Yeah, I know...but if we had another young QB with mobility to develop into a backup....that would be wise. Heck...for all we know, RG3 plays 15 games this year but Cousins plays 1 and totally lights it up....and if next yrs draft sucks...it is at least feasible, we could get 2, 2nd rounders for Cousins...that would be awesome and hard to pass up...if we have no plan to replace Cousins, we'd couldn't really replace him with anyone other than a Rex Grossman type player....which wouldn't shock me. I just like the idea of having 2 young QB's in our non traditional scheme vs oldschool....starter plus and old guy backup. Primarily due to our teams mobility dependancy.
