Re: 9/24/06: Redskins (0-2) at Texans (0-2)
Def. a big booster on both sides of the ball.
I tellya what, and this may be teh second time I'm saying this but i've had issues with danny smith our....umm..special teams coach. But over the past couple of years we've had like three kickoffs for tds. that has to be right up there in the nfl. |

Re: 9/24/06: Redskins (0-2) at Texans (0-2)
I have to think that Brunell must have run over "the phaeroah's" mother. I used to have a world record in sports and also have won an international academic competition, both to the sound of one hand clapping, but I have never been criticized when I accomplished these goals. I find it mind-numbing how someone can post repeatedly with the only goal of trivializing a record-setting performance. I have to feel sorry for this poor individual.

Re: 9/24/06: Redskins (0-2) at Texans (0-2)
Of course the win means a more, but the record means something too. I believe this kind of record is always set against a bad defense. What does this record mean?
1) If you give Brunell the short stuff, he'll get the job done, and very well. Take it to the bank. So, for people who were saying that Brunell was worthless, they have to sing a new tune. (At least if there is a head on their shoulders.) We must note that Texas plays 16 games a year, as do many other bad defenses. That means that 16 QBs a year have failed to do to Texas what MB did to Texas. 2) It means that a certain part of the game plan is really "in sync". (For any game, there are usually a number of plays where the receiver was open and the QB just made a bad throw.) 3) It means the receivers are not dropping the ball. (Nice catch, David Patton.) 4) It means the playcalling was good, a nice turnaround. It may also mean that, if the other team doesn't stack the box, they will lose. Then we'll get to see if Mark still has the long ball (if he's given time to throw it.) As far as interceptions, he's only had 1 all season, so I don't see your stat line happening against the Jags. That's an unfair comparison because P.Manning throws the ball farther that ten yards at a time, that's not to take anything from Brunell's performance because he was good "today". |

We would have beaten anybody the way we played today. The Texans had no chance.
