Axl Rose Declines Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction | And The Winner Is... (NEW) - Yahoo! Music
Axl is just so weak. G N R along with Metallica is the reason I got into music in the 4th, 5th grade in elementary school. Even though I havent really listened to GNR in like 20 years, but I would tune in to watch these guys get together again. GNR's band today is not even close to the original line up. Its just so lame when bands cant put aside bullshit and get back together and play (talking heads, Zeppelin, the Smiths). I was waiting for Pink Floyd to get back and tour after they played that festival like 6 years ago, and now Richard Wright has past (eff you Roger Waters for that). If Axl and the rest of the original band could have kept it together, they would probably be the biggest rock band of all time.

Totally agree how lame it is when bands can't put aside petty BS. I'd pay good money to see the original lineup again. I saw them on the Use Your Illusion Tour in '91, it was a sick show. |

Aaron Freeman closes the book on Ween - CNN.com
Ween is breaking up. Dont know if anybody listened to them, but Ive been listening since 1993 and they are probably one of the most underrated bands of all time. Immensely creative duo, genre blending (back when it wasnt "hip") and fun live. Go back and take a listen to these classic albums: "Pure Guava" and "Quebec"...their best, 5star albums : "Chocolate and Cheese" and "White Pepper" are hands down brillant.

Re: Any New Music Selections?
Life Is Good by Nas is great though not as great as the critics and fanboys made it sound...it's definitely worth lending your ears to.

Nobody talking about Snoop Lion yet? I'll admit my expectations are low, but we'll see. Good for him for bucking the popular trend, he does deserve props for breaking away from the cash cow that is mainstream rap today.

I heard the single. It was horrible. Fake Jamaican accent, horrible lyrics. Had to listen to an hour of Marley to cleanse my mind.

Re: Any New Music Selections?
I converted this remix to MP3 and have been using it while I lift in the home gym.
It's addictive. I'm not ashamed.

That's what I do.
Seriously, it's a good workout song. The best way to fix a Britney song is to mix it with another, better song.

Re: Any New Music Selections?
Stayed around the house most of the weekend working on various project and while doing sh*t, dusted off an old classic I hadnt listened too in 5-6 years. I like doing this every now then...this weekend choice was Dr. Dre Chronic II 2001. wow, still mind blowing and banging. Wish Tipper Gore was here to listen to this tracks especially my favorite:
any classic albums lately?
