Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Another great article by Ross Tucker on the specifics of team condition test.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
This one has a two minute rest in between sets. Times of 55 seconds and 59 seconds.

Just got my answer:
RT @Rich_Campbell I'm hearing that Albert Haynesworth did not run this morning. Apparently he's resting. I think this is a good choice. After military PT tests there was a day to recuperate for your body, and in the football season, the day after the game is usually a recuperate type day. |

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
So I went up to the high school to try my crack at this.... and its quite harder than I thought. Just to put it in perspective, I'm about 5'9, 200 pounds, not out of shape, but rocking a little beer gut... and I ran a 1/2 marathon about 7 months ago, so I would consider myself somewhat conditioned I guess....
I did it once, 75 seconds, which was a fail. The hardest part to me was the changing of directions. I did it again running 3 100 yard sprints down the football feild, changing directions at the goal line and did it in under a min... so the change in direction added nearly 20 seconds on it for me. Granted I'm not a pro athlete making 20 million dollars, but it was a little tough.

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
The first shuttle run is the easy part its the second one after the short break that's taxing.
Its not that hard to do but if you haven't done it before you'll make it harder on yourself because you'll go too fast or too slow in some portions you need a good steady pace. -No worries Al will get it, i think Shanahan is effing with him a little. I bet dollars to donuts that if all the DL & OL were doing it would under the same strict adherence to the time hacks as demanded by Shanahan Albert wouldn't be the only one person held out. Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Smoot, Davis, Thomas and Kelly all fail the conditioning test either last year or the year prior? |

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
I don't remeber a day of rest after a PT test. And honestly a 3 mile run, 2 minutes of sit up, and pull-ups wasn't all that bad. The Air Force had it a little harder though with the stationary bike and all, they may have needed it.
Just joking, thanks to all for their service! |
