My god, I hope he makes a smart move and comes to D.C. Did the Raiders actually do anything to that Oline of thiers?

He has a beast of a QB here in DC that is proven and spreads the ball all over the field, and one of the best offensive coaches in the league. Plus we have the defense.

Seems like a no brainer for him!!

Re: Other teams cuts - and the obvious should we get them question.

If we get Houshmanzadeh, we got to cut Galloway, please he's not as fast as he used to be, and is 38 years old. The only 38 year old wideout I would have ever signed would be Jerry Rice.

But like I've said before, Vincent Jackson is the best you could possibly get right now, and Houshmanzadeh is the second best option, but both receivers, are probably better than oh, I'd probably say our whole receiving core.

So I won't be suprised if he goes there, but I also definitely wouldn't mind if he chose here, as I've been unimpressed and definitely not enthusiastic at the idea of having Galloway actually play the #2 spot.
I get what your saying but when it boils down to it TJ is a competitor. Right now the Raiders are definitely improved however right now their goal is to make it to the playoffs in the next year or two. The Redskins, however ambitious it may be, are gearing up for a Super Bowl run in that same time frame and if McNabb stays healthy they have a reasonable chance provided they get hot at the right time.

Tom Cable or Mike Shanahan isn't that difficult of a decision. Hue Jackson or Kyle Shanahan is even easier. Right now the Redskins look much better on paper and coming off a year where both teams had top 10 picks thats all you can really go on.

Plus more important then anything else is the fact that we have the QB edge, and in the NFL, receivers are dependent on quality QB play than anything else. If Bruce Allen can put together teams that saw guys like McCardell, Galloway, and Bryant go through a career resurgence then we should be more then fine with TJ.

Goodcall. I forgot to think about what QB each team has might have an impact on Housh's decision. If the deciding factor is playing with McNabb or JC under center than we would probably win. While I like JC and hope he'll do well in Oakland if I was a receiver I'd probably play with McNabb because of his pedigree. Also if there is one question mark with Oakland it'd have to be its' offensive line, I don't think their tackles are that good, especially Mario Henderson on the left side.

Well...It looks like T.J. is deciding between the Raiders and the Redskins guys...
I'm thinking we will probably hear something by today...

Could we possibly be getting our #2 WR?
We shall see...

Re: Other teams cuts - and the obvious should we get them question.

Again, if we sign Hoosh, we'd continue the trend of stockpiling the best throwback roster for 2006-2007. Four years ago if you told me we'd have Portis, Larry Johnson, McNabb, Hoosh, Galloway, Moss, and even Willie Parker at one point...

Hoosh (2007) - 112 rec - 1143yds - 12tds
Moss (2005-6) - 84 rec - 1483yds - 9tds
Galloway (2005-6) - 83rec - 1287yds - 10tds
Portis (2005-6) - 352car - 1516yds - 11tds
Johnson (2005-6) - 336car - 1750yds - 20tds

And to the prev point -- we'd definitely be a better pick for Hoosh. As I understand it, he's getting 7 million no matter what this year from Seattle. In DC, he gets one of the largest fan bases in the world - lots of endorsement possibilities, and a Pro-Bowl QB throwing to him, a young offensive mind calling plays, and a SB-winning coach. Oakland would be a longer term turn-around, and Hoosh doesn't have that much gas left.

I'm a little surprised at all the hate directed toward Roydell Williams. I believe he caught the first pass of the preseason, and put a move on the DB that gained some nice yardage after the catch.

Is he the best around? No. Is he absolute garbage? No. He's a guy that Shanahan liked enough to make to the final roster. I don't get what the rub is with this guy.

For a vet min deal there is no downside here, we need to get TJ in here.

Yeah plus he's a guy that put up 55-719-4 with the Titans in 2007, so we know the guy can play. I don't see any reason to be down on him, unless we sign TJ of course. Then he might be out the door.

Ravens reached agreement with former Seahawks wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh on a one-year, $855,000 deal. More at espn.com. 2 minutes ago via ÜberTwitter

So, that ends that one speculation.
