DeSean Jackson to surpass Eric Decker's contract? - NFL.com
This is Eric Decker's deal, something like this maybe 5million more guaranteed and 1million more for the last 3 years gets it done. Would cost 5mill against the cap this year.

year, base, prorated bonus,,year pay, dead cap
2014 2,500,000 1,500,000 - 4,000,000 15,000,000
2015 5,000,000 1,500,000 - 6,500,000 11,000,000
2016 6,500,000 1,500,000 - 8,000,000 4,500,000
2017 7,250,000 1,500,000 - 8,750,000 3,000,000
2018 7,500,000 1,500,000 - 9,000,000 1,500,00

@CHICKatCSN you've always been honest - you think we get the djax deal done?

Back to the Hankerson issue for a minute, how about after signing Djax, we trade Hankerson to the 49er's for there 94th overall in the third round. Any takers? can you imagine the pain and agony from Eagles fans if we got DJax, and a 3rd rounder for Hank. Oh joy. (realistically I would take a 4th or 5th for Hank)

I don't think any team would be willing to give more than a 7th, if that. This draft is deep with WRs, teams would be better off drafting one. The salary would be lower than Hank and there would actually be some upside.

At this point you can't get a ham sandwich for Hankerson.

I don't think he has that much value. He can't stay on the field. I like the guy, honestly he can play but he can't finish the season.

Can he really play though? He's had flashes but zero consistency and I don't think it's all because of injury. But yes, sign DJ and shop Hank all we can.

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday

Exactly. His lack of playing time due to him being on the injured list has led to inconsistent play. He won't get any better this year. He's coming off an acl in Nov?! He won't be ready to really go this season.

That being said if he could show some consistency in his health than he could be a productive WR in the league, so yes he can play. He isn't ready to be a #2 yet and has a very good chance of never becoming one. It's a shame he does have some talent.

True. I don't think you hang out with a prospective team's QB unless you're seriously considering signing with them.

Money helps too. I am sure he will get it if he signs. I wouldn't expect a small deal if we get it done.

As far as money goes, isn't he getting $6 million in dead cap from his previous deal with Philly? Maybe that can help structure a deal with a lower cap number this year with escalating numbers for future years. And as always, in DC we have huge potential for marketing / jerseys / etc that he could get money in addition to his contract.

But yes, I'd suspect he's going to want money & multiyear deal.

Jon Stevens ‏@j0nstevens 5m
@HTTR24_7 friend works @ Morton's in RTC. Saying Djax accompanied by d hall, Gruden, and 1 other. Djax signed contract bought everyone in

@HTTR24_7 the place a drink. I understand any skepticism, but when it happens remember me
