Don't forget that having John Hall is an advantage because we actually have 11 men on the feild during kickoffs.

Re: Vanderjagt, a Redskins?

That missed kick is so psychologically damaging, that Vandy will never be the same kicker again. That was one of the worst kicks I have ever seen in such a clutch situation. Scott Norwood, you're offically off the hook.

He's the TO of kickers...the dudes a moron. DId you hear that after Pitt took there time out, Vander made some gestures to the Pitt sideline, to say "come on I cant be rattled." Look what happend. All we need in Vander in here to talk crap about Gibbs and who ever the Qb is next year.

Yeah screw Vanderjagerbomb.
What kicker would talk trash about Peyton Manning?
I don't want that guy on my team. I'll keep John Hall and look for someone with a huge leg for kickoffs. Spending lotsa cash on a Janikowski is useless when we have a very accurate John Hall. Hopefully he'll be 100% by the time we kick off next season!

a very accuracte kicker that can't push a ball 45 yards is called worthless in the nfl. AND he's expensive.

Re: Vanderjagt, a Redskins?

Vanderjagt is a great kicker, but I'd prefer we found a guy late in the draft. It would save some money big time.

Re: Vanderjagt, a Redskins?

Vandy is a good kicker period, regardless of what surface he kicks on.

This year he was 12/13 on turf and 11/12 on grass.

As some have said, he does't do kickoffs, so that's a problem.

Plus he's an idiot, an even bigger problem.

Re: Vanderjagt, a Redskins?

Bring Chip Lohmiller out of retirement... I still think ole Chip could kick it into the endzone on a kickoff!

Re: Vanderjagt, a Redskins?

All things considered when Hall is healthy he is a very good kicker. It comes down to:

Is he healthy and what he is getting paid?

It seems like everybody is ready to let this guy go but are we assured to get a great kicker in return. I remember all too well for years we didn't have a kicker w/ any ability. All i'm saying is let's not jump too quick to get rid of John Hall. He's a pretty good kicker.
