Good post D'boyz - while firstdown is right that the DA could move forward without the help of the victims, it's unlikely he would do so in an assault case like this. ST probably can cut a check and walk away from the whole mess.

Actually, Ryan Clark had a couple of big hits last year, as did Ade Jimoh. But if you're talking the intimidation factor - yeah, Taylor brings the heat 24/7!

Agreed.

But then again if the fix is in and the NFL wants him in jail, they might pay off the judge to have the book tossed at Taylor.

I dont think its going to be that easy. It not that the people can't drop the charges, the state of Florida files charges, this is a felony not misdomenor charges. HE can pay the people off all he wants, but its not stopping Florida from going after him.

56Fanatic -- When the state doesn't have any witnesses willing to testify (because they settle out of court with Taylor) then it makes it really hard to convict him. Hell, from the evidence I've heard they had, Taylor will be sitting there laughing.

exactly the State can still persecute but without witnesses their case goes to the toilet just like it happend with M.jackson in 93 so don't worry he won't see no jail time.

Re: Sean Taylor?

I have a question and it may have already been brought up. But here goes. What if Sean goes to jail? What would happen to Washington with the cap and everything? Would it just free up some room or what?

Re: Sean Taylor?

$5.00 says he is guilty of the crime; $5.50 says he won't do any time at all. We'll see ST next year playing as a SKIN in XLI.

Roanoke, VA eh? I believe I'll be seeing you down there next year to watch Skins games at the new Wild Wings in Valley View.

Re: Sean Taylor?

You find me with a group of guys singing "HTTR!" off-key two or three times throughout the game along with arguing over best 'Skins player ever, complaining about Art Monk's HOF denial, making jokes regarding the demise of other teams personnel at the hands of ST and LA. See you there!

Re: Sean Taylor?

Yeah, I love Wild Wings (especially since my fiance moved from Blacksburg back to Lexington and I don't have a reason to go anymore). I got booted from the Blacksburg one during the Seattle game because I got up in some guys face who was just being a dick. The one they got is pretty nice for being in a mall. I was skeptical how it would turn out.

I spoke with Marcus Washington at a luncheon. And he confirmed to me that Sean Taylor wont miss any time and will be ready for next season. So no need to worry about our most talented player.
