Re: Lavar Gone

it has to be a done deal as you say or they wouldn't post it up on skins.com. Does lavar seroiusly not want to be a skin??? The market isn't going to give him much and we would match basically anything anyone would offer. why don't we ****ing wait till thursday and if there is a ****ing CBA then we can just restructure this shit. ****

Re: Lavar Gone

Stunned. Any other word for it?
Pardon me as I process this....
-Creates cap space which is good whether we get a CBA or not
-We get nothing for a top three draft pick who has real value which is bad.
-He apparently isn't as good as we'd like to believe or isn't as good as he used to be. So him being gone is good.

I guess there are negatives and positives. I love the guy and can't bring myself to hope he bombs elsewhere but I will be crushed if he becomes pro-bowler again somewhere else.

Re: Lavar Gone

Does lavar want to be a skin?? doesn't seem like it. If he did he would just restructure here. **** this shit. Lavar is the man... I was going to visit Penn state and dress up in all my lavar shit and I was plannning to get a Penn state lavar jersey.. man.... this sucks horse shit...

This is the best thing for the skins though. it reall is. we might be able to sign some people... 4 million in space and won't we save some more when june rolls around??

If a CBA is reached we can effectively have well over 15 million in space if we try.

Re: Lavar Gone

so exactly how much does he count against the teams cap with this move? I had thought that cutting or trading him would have resulted in the team losing money to do so. I'm extremely suprised he gave up $4 mil to get off the team after years and years of saying how much he loved this team and it's fans but when it gets a bit harder for him and he has to earn his playing time he bails?!?! another example of why free agency can suck.

Re: Lavar Gone

It's more than just being a redskins, there is no doubt he loved the skins. his career window is closing. he needs to do what he has to do. i dont think we used him to his best abilities. he is giving money back( HELPING THE TEAM!) and going somewhere he hopes he can regain probowl form.

the guy is giving back alot of money. he isnt bitching and whining. I hope he does well. i get the feeling he might be in san diego along side merriman.

Re: Lavar Gone

watch him become an eagle. if he does i will be so ****ing pissed at him. He can go anywhere outside our division. If i have to greet his ass at Fedex next year and he is on a division rival's team i will boooo him. If not i wish him luck. For now, you knwo i don't even know what the **** is going on. I need to see what exactly the deal is. i don't trust mort. I didn't know a player could write a check to a team and it fix the salary cap. That is like a restructure to get him off. Why the **** couldn't this wait till after the CBA is signed. For all i know he will resign as a skin(i know not happening but i am just saying i don't know WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON).

Lavar has always been a skin from as far back as I can remember. I cheered him and I never stopped giving him support. He said he would restructure to be a skin forever but doens't seem like he cares. Tommorrow i will know what really is going on with the little intangibles.

Re: Lavar Gone

i could always dream that the redskins resign him for a good , cap friendly deal. Then again, the odds of that happening are about as much as clay aiken coming out of the closet.

i think for how nice he was to us fans and how much he loved this place in his good years, he won't pull an A.P. and go to another NFC East team.

Re: Lavar Gone

Ever since i have been a real, stat checking, jersey wearing, dallas hating, redskin loving fan it has been Lavar as the team face. this sucks as much as that lady in the super happy fun thread. FFkldjfslrxhfa;uiehrlgdasfhlajklfjl;kadfjlk;adsfl; jdsklf;jdls;fjkla;df vnkcmvc.ngvfawerjewr;req

This offseason has really started to make me hate the NFL. I seriously would stop watching if i could but the NFL knows us fans can't. The CBA should be done for the fans. Lavar should stay for the fans
