I think he'd be a good pick up if cheap cuz almost anything would be an upgrade receiving wise over thrash and especially the huge dissapointment known as Jacobs.

Don't feel like looking up his stats. Anyone have some info on him? I just remember him shying away from contact a LOT after the catch.

I read today that the Redskins have already contacted Bruce's agent. I just can't remembner where I read it. I think it was on Scout, not sure. I'll retrace to see if I can find a link.

Cool Re: Isaac Bruce Released

This is all great but w/o the CBA, we will have Moss, Patten and Thrash again with some rookie in the 2nd round. If we get the CBA, i think you grab bruce for a few years and draft a wr in the second to develop. No pussy like Jacobs either! Moulds cries too much and Randle El has never been showcased enough to drop serious cash on. Plus, Randle El is basically a Moss type. He will be usless around the goal line.

without the cba thrash would be long gone and it'd be moss patten and jacobs

that's obviously not the case now though.

Re: Isaac Bruce Released

I'm having problems with posting a link but I did locate the article on Issac Bruce, it' in today's WashingtonPost. The article headline reads: "Redskins FreeAgency Forecast Stays Cloudy" The latter portion of the article states the St. Louis Post Dispatch reported the Redskins had contacted Bruce's agent, Jimmy Sexton.

Re: Isaac Bruce Released

Sweet. Thanks...

To keep the conversation away from "We need a big possession receiver." I'm just going to say we need someone to go over the middle. Bruce isn't exactly the kind of guy to do that. I definitely wouldn't oppose him coming, but I just want someone to open up that particular area of the field.

Re: Isaac Bruce Released

I agree, but that's in the Rams offense. Like I said before, I definitely wouldn't be unhappy about getting him, but we have our "burner". I just seriously feel that the middle part of the field is a place we fail to attack. Cooley runs a lot of outside routes and is a short to intermediate threat. Don't get me wrong, Bruce is a talent but if there was another option who might even have less production but maybe a bigger body that can take more abuse, I'd want to give that person a look over Bruce.

Re: Isaac Bruce Released

If you're not a woman, you're already better than Jacobs.

If you are a woman, you're still probably already better than Jacobs.

This is part for joke and part for serious. My ass is seriously chapped over what an f-ing bust Jacobs was. I know that in many conversations on this board I stuck my neck out saying this was his time to step up.

Oh, how wrong I was.

Taylor you are what you have, and you sir, are a pussy.
