Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
I wish we could have gotten a deal like that last year. Of course we were already short on picks last year, but still!

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
Denver said awhile ago they didn't have the money to add two first rounders.

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
One question here is how this makes the original trade by the skins for Campbell look. THat was our pick at #22. When the broncs made the trade with us, did they think they were getting a 2nd and 3rd rounder, or a very high first-rounder, because they thought we were gonna suck?
As for the deal, it makes sense for both teams, IMO. The niners need top-shelf help ASAP. THe broncs are good, the draft is deep, and they don't have the cash.

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
would that be a rip off for how deep this draft is?

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
wow I guess even the 49ers can make a decent move every now and then.

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
its 780-780 on points, complete wash there.
I do think the 49ers take davis, cause a mismatched TE covered by LBs and safeties is a huge safety blanket for alex smith. They do have johnson, but johnson doesn't really play like a TE, he's not a jumper, he runs straight ahead. I think pick 22 could be for manny lawson. They have an EXTREME weakness at OLB, and TJ slaughter isn't a great bandaid for one of the 2 open spots. |

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
do you think the niners would take those 2 picks and move to the number 1 to take reggie bush? I know most likely no but it is quite intriging

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
its possible, but RB isn't there biggest hole and they have serious serious needs at a lot of other positions (LB, secondary, OL, QB :P)

That's why I think it was a good trade for the Broncos. In a year with a deep draft class, it's probably better to trade down to get more picks in the high-mid rounds. |

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
i also think over reliance on a chart that hass no scientific basis is a little crazy, but i guess that's life.

Re: Broncos Send First Round Pick to Niners
yeah I don't get the value of the chart also it doesn't put the real value on every draft and sometimes teams got to pay 2 much to move up the draft, thsi was a real value trade.
